I too would like a cup final scarf. I bought one in the club shop and I agree the massive logo on each end is nasty. I saw a few fans with different scarves at the Huddersfield game but not sure if they're cup final ones or not. i even was sad enough to have a look on Bitterne market and there's a Saints fan on one of the football stalls that said he will hopefully get some of the "half and half" style scarves. I don't really wear colours to games but I'd like to have a decent scarf. No doubt there will be loads of stalls outside Wembley selling all that kinda stuff.
  2. I agree with JRM. Good points well made. As for the winker united fan. Here are some reasons I'm enjoying league 1 to the prem days. 1 More saturday 3pm kick offs. 2 better away days and cheaper 3 Less hype 4 It feels like Saints of old. Hungrier players, clean slate with new owners. Dead wood players that had it easy have now gone and we have a manager and team that i'm proud of (win, lose or draw) 5 more competetive league and less predictable. As for the other point about the happy clappers, it was straight after the ball hit the net. They barely smiled and clapped likea bunch of c***s. Why is a man united fan posting on here anyway? Also, as much as i'm enjoying seeng us win more often, I go to watch saints, not the opposition. 20,000 saints fans on a midweek league one game seem to be better atmospheres than the sell outs in the prem days.
  3. Keep your hair on ffs. I'm not saying they are not well supported. Until sky came along they were going through lean times and they were not the product they are today. Football changed once sky came along. As for the "jealous" remark a massive LOL@ that. I prefer watching Saints in league 1 as we are now, than I did when we were in the premiership. I'm old enough and knowledgeable enough about football without your history lesson. United do have great support and are a great club, I was just pointing out the fact that they (as much as other clubs) have attracted the new breed of post euro 96 JCL's. I also saw loads of their fans politely clap Rooney's winner in the cup final vs Villa.
  4. Did anyone see the ball ball chuck the ball at the face of their player. It looked like he was expecting the ballboy to bounce him the ball, but he lobbed it at his melon. The player then lost his rag which was truly funny as f***. Good work young man.
  5. Maybe so, but there wasn't 76,000 at old trafford that night. And until sky came along united were not that good. Simple as that!
  6. I remember when we knocked them out on pens, when Flowers ran the length of the pitch. The ground was barely half full. They were crap until sky came along and pumped loads of money in. I hope they implode!
  7. Is Nick Halling the guy who does the round up on the football league show? Didn't he do our season review DVD's?
  8. I'm going to use up my third and last post, and i'd like to say how pleased I am that we have Alan Pardew. Keep up the good work. I hope you're here or many many years. APR&WA
  9. They were totally outclassed and we put them to bed. Simple as that ffs
  10. Puncheon was quality, as was barnard. all of them wre quality today. well done lads. THERE'S ONLY 1 ALAN PARDEW!!
  11. Top post mate. Not enough width and we hardly put a cross in at all. The right back didn't overlap puncheon once. We carved them open once, when Fonte passed it to Puncheon instead of them long punts upfield. If we were going to carry on hoofing it, maybe we should've got Thomas on earlier. Utter **** match and one to forget.
  12. Too many long balls to Lambert and not enough guile in my opinion. When we did get the ball down and pass it to Puncheon (not enough), we did look much better and we had a spell of good pressure in the 2nd half and created a few chances (puncheon to Lambert, and Lallana's chance). It was as if we made our minds up before the kick off that the pitch was an excuse to not try and pass it. i'm more annoyed at the way we played than the actual result. If we tried to pass it and played more football, and we still only drew I could take that. The style we played tonight was more annoying than the 0-0. we know we're much better than that, as we proved vs Norwich. oh well onwards and upwards.
  13. I have to admit though, when we got it to 1-1 vs pompey I said to my mate "let's keep it tight now and maybe nick it with a set piece/corner". Then we played into their hands and went all guns blazing. We were playing well enough as it was, and creating chances so we didn't have to change our shape or game plan. Once it went 2-1 it was pretty much game over. Sorry to try and bring the thread back to topic. carry on as you were
  14. Thanks for the number. All booked and done. Keep trying, you will get through. COYS
  15. Thanks mate. I've tried the "recover password" using my email address and customer number and it says they do not match. Complete ******. And I can't re register. I think Toomer is having the same problem as me
  16. I have not used the online sales before, but I am registered to the saints thing online. I don't know my user name ffs. When I try and recover my password it won't work. Anyone help me??? ggrrrrr indeed and ggrrrr for the fone lines busy
  17. lol
  18. Not going to a game because you have a runny nose. WAC. You are also a boring ****.
  19. My old man said something the other day that summed it up in a nutshell. Something along the lines of "basically ML bought Saints for about the same money as pompey owe the HMRC. And He's got a great stadium, training ground and fan base for his money. Why would anyone put money into Pompey?" Also, there are loads of clubs with a brighter future that's a better proposition for a buyer. Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday, Palace to name a few that have more going for it. claridge was spot on tonight.
  20. I doubt NC or ML or any other successful billionaires would worry what a few fans rant about on a football message board. bring on Wembley and stop moaning

    Trouble?

As everyone know, they were walking towards the bridge/tunnel where the wall and railings stop, and then the path is there. This is when they realised they'd made a mistake. A few Saints fans confronted them and the fat bloke ended up on his arse, and so did the other bloke that was with him. As the police car arrived he got up from the floor holding his head and was literally in tears so someone obviously clobbered him. They were not looking for "banter" or exchanging chants. They looked for it and got it. Again, just saying what happened. I also agree with what wade Garrett said
  22. You can be the IOW seeing as you like to slurp on the balls of Pompey and pretty much slag off everything Saints!!
  23. I think he will browse the forum, and will reply between 65-80 minutes of reading the posts. (just kidding)
  24. You should change your user name to "BradleywrightphillipsRomseySaint"

    Trouble?

One of the reasons the rivalry is so fierce is the fact we have rarely played eachother over the years. We have rarely been in the same division, and have not played eachother that many times in the cups. Celtic v rangers play eachother so many times a season it's not a novelty. This was the 1st match in 5 years so the scores that need settling have time to fester.
