I like Pardew but I don't agree with him tonight. We were not "brilliant" tonight. We wasted too many crosses that were too loopy, and gave their keeper the chance to claim the ball. The standards we can play it (like Rovers away) were far more clinical than tonight. We also missed Morgan big time. The link up between defence and midfield was missing. The back four played too many square passes. Fonte was outstanding again. We have done brilliant to get this close and it was just one of those nights to be fair. On another day we'd have got one and then opened them up

The majority of the "casuals" that go to football these days don't know the meaning of the word. Copying a Jumper/jacket/polo shirt that other people wear is not cool. And the majority wear any old ill fitting stone Island coat that looks nasty as anything.

I honestly believe the cups have got nothing to do with our league form (or lack of it during our cup runs). A lot of our players were cup tied, so we could field fringe players for the JPT. It's all ifs and buts anyway. Maybe a few twists and turns left this season, so we're not out of the race yet

I wouldn't swap the JPT trophy, but i'd have happily lost to luton in the 3rd round if it meant top 6. We won the first trophy in many Saints fans life time, so personally I wouldn't swap that for anything.
