I have had enough of beating around the bush. The old administration are to blame for the problems up to the administration period. The new administration saved the club and are doing their best. Pinnacle and all who were strongly involved with it, knowing it was a hiding to nothing, are to blame for the current mess. If we had had a pre-season and we had tonight's result I would wholeheartedly blame the team but we didn't. That Pinnacle bid has cost us so, so dear. If after the transfer window and when there has been several breathing spaces between matches for Pardew to act and results are the same then the fault will lie with the team and management. Tonight everyone under-performed and the reason is total lack of preparation. Total and complete.

Fair dos - dont think the stuff on here is bad just think that a fairly well-respected journalist with great contacts who lets be honest is pretty prolific in transfer predictions hasn't got a bad % rate and should prob be listened too and not totally disregarded. Sorry but that just isn't true - he is respected and got great contacts - I know various football journos who would disagree with you. Anyway I didn't post what he said as gospel, neither does he say those things as gospel but simply reporting what he is hearing from the football agents he knows personally - yes it is mainly mere gossip and will undoubtedly be at times unfounded etc. but I would stake it is fairly more educated gossip than most of the gossip that appears here.

I am not claiming this guy knows everything but he is in constant talks with football agents and reps at clubs so I think he may be a little more ITK than many of the people on here.

I think it is a done deal - we announced to pre-empt it being mentioned in the hastily called Colchester press conference this arvo - this crap about Norwich halting the deal was always crap in my opinion - they don't have the cash.
