  1. I can see Long scoring today. With Tadic and Boufal supplying him, he has to stand a chance. Decent attacking line up that
  2. That can't be true! It doesn't fit the agenda. I demand a recount [emoji87]
  3. I was pointing out that Sturridge has been linked, (three is even a thread for it) and could possibly be linked as the replacement. I wasn't starting a suggestion free-for-all.
  4. Sturridge?
  5. You only know that as she's your girlfriend
  6. Well, you are what you eat, so thank you, I'll accept that. [emoji14] [emoji14] [emoji14]
  7. I wasn't including Black as he wasn't one of the new names. So 4
  8. Actually, 4 with a Saints connection too.
  9. Mature
  10. As has been mentioned previously, his wages are upwards of £100k per week. That would be the reason I imagine
  11. With Bruno Martins Indi
  12. I actually agree with Alpine. It is perfectly plausible. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit with other posters ideals so will be shouted down as bulls bit as it isn't what they want to hear. If I had a taste of success, I can honestly say that I would want more. Nothing wrong in that. I think we all need to accept that footballers are people too and have the same urges, feelings and emotions as the rest of us. Ignore that the players are currently part of our club, try a little empathy and think how you yourselves would react. Honestly, when did we, as Saints fans and SWF users become so damned precious *generalisation for the sake of my point, in no way am I saying the whole fan base are to be categorised in the same way*
  13. Do you actually understand how businesses and the associated accounts actually work? If this were happening, and if this were even possible, it would show in the annual accounts. If it were to happen, it would be investigated by the fraud office and sanctions would be placed on the owner/directorship. As none of this is happening, I would say it is safe to assume that your accusation is based on pure paranoia and possibly corporate ignorance. Also, let's not forget how much money the Liebherr family have invested in our football club. Also, on forget that Katerina actually converted money owed to her into equity, so it didn't actually damage the club or have a negative effect on club finances.
  14. "A mate of mine"? That old chestnut, eh?
  15. If you don't mind going a bit further, there are big ones at Strawberry Fields near Lymington and another at Ashley Heath. I have sold at both and done very well. Both are big and the variety of sellers is brilliant. Hth
  16. According to the online thesaurus : awkward, bewildering, compromising, confusing, delicate, difficult, disagreeable, discomfiting, discommoding, discommodious, disconcerting, distracting, distressing, disturbing, equivocal, exasperating, impossible, incommodious, inconvenient, inopportune, mortifying, perplexing, puzzling, rattling, sensitive, shameful, sticky, ticklish, touchy, tricky, troublesome, troubling, uncomfortable, uneasy, unpropitious, unseemly, upsetting, worrisome Hope this helps [emoji14]
  17. For no particular reason, I still think it will be Pellegrini. I can't help but think smoke, mirrors, cloaks and daggers are cunningly keeping everyone guessing
  18. The £72m probably includes NI contributions too with the £59.5m just being salary
  19. This is my thinking too. I can only see it being good for us, shirt and long term
  20. If they'd been quicker, they could've got Ron
  21. Surely there are better ways to cheer him up than that! [emoji47] [emoji6]
  22. As much as I hate to say it, Spurs did nothing wrong. I don't get the animosity over that particular deal. Ok, so Spurs have done us in the past with Hoddle, Richards and MP, but not with Toby. He was available, Spurs bid, bid accepted, terms agreed, job done. Don't forget, he wasn't our player. If anything, we were stiffed by Athleico. It could even be argued that we did ourselves to a degree. The VW deal has been done properly too, in fairness. Behind the scenes, no malice, no posturing, just business. Sad to see him go, but if someone doesn't want to be somewhere, it's best they try somewhere else. It's the same in all walks of life, not just football I'm afraid
  23. Never mind his win percentage. Can we forgive him for agreeing to sell us Osvaldo?
  24. That is quite impressive! Be interested to see more about the deal though
