  2. Mine went completely nuts, despite being on the implant! She stopped talking to me for ages (5 months and counting) after ripping me a new one and openly critising me to anyone who was unfortunate enough to get too close. Even religious callers weren't safe and samaritans barred her number. I'm wondering if it is safe to put my head above the parapet now in case I am hit by a flying ornament or worse. That ***** is fully crazy!
  3. And that also assumes that it is a 100% upfront fee. It is feasible that there is a lower basic fee plus performance related add ons. These would only become payable upon the criteria being met, therefore it wouldn't be such a hit. I have no idea of the ins and outs of this potential transfer, just throwing another possible scenario in for consideration. I personally don't think NC would risk solvency over one player though. This is purely my opinion and based on nothing in particular.
  4. Wasn't Chris Marsden bought from a prem club? I'll throw his name into the hat for our best prem - prem signing if so
  5. That was kind of what I said in the first post I think. Drawing comparisons between different levels and qualities of players. Wish I'd paid my fiver now as this is my last post today Reckon they'd take an IOU?
  6. He was kind of thrown in at the deep end though. In a poor team, disgruntled locals, the Dutch experiment, looming administration, unnatural playing position. Its all alot for a twenty year old to cope with. He did score 20+ goals for us in L1 in a season though as I recall so he finishing is there. At that level at least. I still don't think LM Is his position though and his overall game isn't just about goals. He is a good player, just not quite there yet, which is a slight issue given his age.
  7. The thing with AL is he seems to be a victim of his own success. He had 2 great seasons in L1 and another in the championship. He was able to play left mid exceptionally well there after converting from attacking midfielder in the relegation season. Personally, I don't see him as a wide midfielder at prem level as full backs seem to be more savvy than at lower levels and have that extra bit of pace in general. I see him as more of the 'in the hole' type of player he used to be, but unfortunately in that position, GR is more accomplished, despite having patchy form himself. I hope both have great seasons this time around and silence all of the nay-sayers and their jerky knees.
  8. http://www.asms.vpweb.co.uk My contact details are on there. Give me a shout if you have no joy else where. Don't want to tread on anyone's toes
  9. A woman underatanding device would be most helpful!
  10. Emergent service worker for me, but its what I kind of expected. Any higher up the social scale and I'd pay my fiber and be a full member on here
  11. That is an unfounded rumour! Sort of. I'm a giver not a taker
  12. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i thought it may be of interest. http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/joel.amorim/122497/will-gast%C3%B3n-ram%C3%ADrez-leave-southampton-this-summer "Gastón Exequiel Ramírez Pereyra or as we know him best, Gastón Ramírez, is one of the most wanted players in Italy these days. The first team to have shown interest in the Uruguayan player was Inter Milan, but today, Juventus and AC Milan joined the race for him. The 22-year old Uruguayan International, who joined Southampton early this season from the Italian side Bologna, is according to the media one of the most impressive attacking midfielders currently playing in Europe and I totally agree with them. The media are also claiming today that besides these Italian teams, Barcelona was also interested in the player but Southampton’s transfer fee demands made the Catalan club refrain their interest. Gastón Ramírez has a transfer fee of around £35 million and that amount is not within the grasp of many clubs. However, and believing in what the media are saying, the transfer fee amount is not a problem for Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan. I used to watch Gastón Ramírez playing in Serie A last season and I have always thought that he was a talented player. When I knew that he was joining Southampton this season I was sure that he would make an impact, both in the club and in the Premier League. As far as I am concerned, Gastón Ramírez is a fantastic player. He has impressive ball control, fantastic dribbling and passing skills and the way he ‘treats’ the ball is a delight to the eye. I started to follow Southampton more closely after they signed Mauricio Pochettino, since I admire his work as a manager and I believe that if he is given time to work, he will reshape Southampton’s style of play from top to bottom. I also believe that Gastón Ramírez is very important for Southampton and that he will fit like a glove in the style of play that Pochettino is imposing. As a football fan, I hope that Gastón Ramírez doesn’t leave the club or the Premier League since it is because players like him that the Premier League is and will be the best football league in the World."

  14. I'm guilty of watching Blues Brothers more often than is healthy or sane. Red Dwarf gets watched repeatedly too, but not to the same extent
  15. There isn't a loan window in the PL so after 11pm that's it until the summer. Not sure if there is a free agent deadline or not, but I imagine any decent ones would have been snapped up long ago
  16. He does appear to be more media savvy. Time will tell I guess
  17. Is training still closed doors to the public?
  18. Obviously I would like to see some additions to improve the squad, but I'm not overly concerned if we don't. This squad has all but matched Citeh and It's, matched the European champagne, Everton and Arsenal as well as picking up points from teams around us. The team is progressing, as recent form has shown. The squad is more than capable and good enough to consolidate in the PL this season. That should realistically be our current goal and then build for next season in the summer.
  19. Or he doesn't want to go to Liverpool:p
  20. In response to the OP, I've been having the same thoughts. Ramires is a world class player but is yet to show it for us consistently. I have a feeling that our system under NA didn't suit the style of play that GR is used to or bought for.
  21. It's a ****ing travesty! I genuinely can't believe this. Apart from feeling sick to my stomach I am numb. There must have been a very good reason that we can't see. I'm struggling to find a positive from this whole ****ed up situation. Absolutely dumbfounded! Crazy times. Sad times. Bad times.
  22. Let's not run before we can walk. We've got to get to the Europa League before we can consider Champions League. It's the progression you see
