I'm not so sure the striker was the massive priority we all think it is. Last season, our strikers didn't score as many as we'd have liked them to, but also, how many of those chances were nailed on finishes and how many were made harder by our slow, laboured and uncertain build up and poor decision making in the final third? We seem to be quicker and better at picking the right pass this seasin so far with the new look midfield and having ball playing defenders. We're already better off points and spectacle wise this season, and while a top end striker would have been amazing, I think what we have will be improved with the other changes. Not buying into this replacing Broja either. He had half a good season but seemed to change and became a fairly selfish player to the detriment of many if our attacks. A striker needs a bit of that, but i felt he would rather go for personal glory at the cost to team glory on many occasions. Which again comes back to the poor decision making in the final third.

Kind of like a Schneiderlin when he was here, you mean?

Need a proper target man. No point playing long balls or playing out wide for crosses without one. You just know we won't win a header in the box when attacking

Forster looks fuming!

It did that at first, but then I refreshed it and it worked

The weakstreams one is mostly working. Buffers a bit, but it's watchable

Just seen on Sky Sports app that Barclays have frozen Chelseas bank account! This could get interesting if they can't pay the players, assuming that is the bank which deals with salaries.

Glad of the nowtv delay so I could prepare for it

As long as they are all within playing distance if the ball, I reckon it would be ok. Maybe

Sky news reporting he'd prefer to stay in the Prem. Fingers crossed

Thanks for that. It clears it up in my mind a little bit.

I keep seeing about how we had to play the Utd match last season with that horrific injury list, but I can't remember hearing if we actually applied to have the match postponed or whether we did literally just get in with it, as it's all part and parcel of the game?

You say this, but after i caught it and recovered, despite having had the 1st vaccine 6 days before my positive test, my antibodies were surprisingly low. This was confirmed when I went to donate plasma . I didn't have enough antibodies to be able to continue donating.

Can't keep riding our luck like that

How in the hell can a pro keeper get beaten at the near post like that? FFS

He seems to say all the right things and certainly doesn't come across the way the Torino fans suggested. I'm actually feeling confident by this signing. Let's hope it turns out as well as he makes it sound

I don't get this. With GKs like Alex Werner and Romero available, an upgrade on what we have would be easy.

Just found this re: Bednarek. Decent overview, but not sure how accurate it is https://one-versus-one.com/en/players/Jan-Bednarek

Is Carrillo injured or just too **** to get into the the Leganes side these days? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Still use talc now. It's the only way to avoid chafeage in my base layers. Makes it much easier to take them off after a work out too. The combination of trench arse and sweat vacuum is a look to avoid, definitely. Talc alleviates that to a large extent. Fond memories of it as a child too, as well as enjoying the current practicality of it today Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

The same was said recently of Chelsea and Tottenham. We're not the finished article, by a long stretch, but I kind of feel you are being more than a little dismissive of recent improvements. They may beat us, but "easily" is wide of the mark in my opinion. If I'm wrong, I'll hold my hands up and apologise, but I really don't think I am. Guess we'll see after the match Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Why only bring in players for cover? Which player in their right mind would do that? No point bringing in someone who wouldn't improve the match day squad at the very least. Anyone we bring in should be good enough to at least push the players in their position to want to keep it, in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I work in a dementia care home and the condition is both sobering and terrifying, even though I am not directly involved in the care side of the home. Those who are, really are heroes in my opinion. I had very little understanding of it until I began working in the home. I even give my own time to listen and engage, which isn't something I would have envisaged myself doing previously, if I'm honest. Very rewarding. There are several larger charities in the UK who are very worthy of support: Alzheimer's Society, Dementia UK, BRACE and Playlist For Life. Given the cost of dementia care currently, a lot of assisted living/care homes would probably welcome any assistance they could get too, whether it be financial or volunteering. Maybe CNs care providers would benefit directly? Just spit balling really, having a little insight. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Was it ever confirmed that he didn't want to play or was that based on your own supposition? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
