Well I've not seen those names in dispatches, and my eyesight is bad but I don't need reading glasses just yet!!!
-
I could say you have all gone off on one hell of a wild tangent based on the surname of a local businessmen who manages Pinnacle's clients alongside Tony - but what do I know!!!

The players should be encouraged by the sound of a bullish Irishman down there today. I tried catching up with Tony earlier but he was heading for Staplewood. I guess its to see they haven't got the sun loungers out and not to try out for the defence
-
Good points, well made.

One day.... The memories.

I think we have 500,000 reasons to back the individual in question and allow him to orchestrate negotiations as he sees fit TBH. Putting a name in print before he wishes it to be made public will not achieve anything with regards the eventual outcome.
-
The administrators aren't duty bound to offer us any explanations though, so might stay silent until Monday now. I'm sure Pinnacle will do there utmost to resolve the outstanding issues over the next few days.
-
I might just work through the night and sleep through tomorrow if its likely to be even more hectic than today!! Who am I kidding, I'm as excited at the possibility of finally hearing what we all want to hear as the next fan!!

Just on the PC catching up on O/S work in my intray that went unattended most of today!!

I'm not going to put a time on it, just that its all still moving along, things are getting done and today's scare mongering has no factual basis!!
-
I would not expect it to, and as I'm not in the frontline making or breaking the deal, I don't have any authority on the bigger picture. But instead of replying to all the PM's thought I would add what I know to the thread and then it is relayed to those interested. I'd rather not be judged on what I report, just allow people to take the information on offer and choose to use it or not based on previous opinions of my posts.
-
In my opinion FWIW, no.
-
Unfortunately its not my place to convey the question but to to elaborate slightly, all I will say is it was a very mundane, admin related question that my area of expertese and third party contacts could help with.

I did indeed just pop out to grab some food and come back to this thread!! All I can say is, and I'm not at all involved directly with anything with regards the actual takeover, so I'm just as much in the dark as to the official position with it as the next fan, is I spoke to Tony very, very briefly today. He was in a SFC related meeting and asked me a very quick question appertaining to club matters. Take from that whatever you can!! I'm just as nervous as everyone else!!

You sir, are on to something. (As you can see, I have now copyrighted your genius) -
Now you've pointed that out, I can see what SL maybe did there. There's me thinking I can read between the lines of a piece of printed matter and then that off the cuff remark went straight over my head!! But then again its a well known given that just the mention of Lowe makes me act irrationally tbf tbh
-
No he is not, quite the opposite if you read between the lines. He found Rupert an 'interesting challenge' and his ideas somewhat 'out there' compared to the footballing knowledge and experience possessed by Strachan. In a sort of twisted manner, WGS enjoyed the banter between them, the ex pro and the football novice if you like. He credits Lowe with persisting to try and impose ideas (some Hockey based!!!) against stiff oppostion from all quarters. I think he admired Lowe's spirit and single mindedness, but also hinted that this would be his downfall in the football arena. WGS is an interesting and unique charachter himself and I think he found Rupert equally unique and in that respect found him 'amusing'. He may of complimented Lowe on his supposed business acumen but he is anything but complimentary to him on football issues, more patronising & belittling TBF.

I've just spoken to Tony. He is in Guernsey at the Smile4Rich Charity Golf event at Le Grande Mare. He said this is a charity close to his heart and he hopes in future SFC can be involved in similar fund raising events to build a better spirit around the club once again and give something back to the community. He said his weekend will be dedicated to going through the remaining legal issues and he is confident of getting everything in place in time for deadline day. Tony and co are champing at the bit to get on with football matters, which in Tony's words were 'what it's really all about'.

Big Mac was even more devious than that. He asked KK to bring him back some sort of special kind of lamp or something from Hamburg and drop it off to his New Forest home when he came back in England. When KK turned up with it Lawrie locked all the doors and said you are not leaving until you agree to sign for the Saints!! Job's a good un KK had just been voted European footballer of the year in 78 AND 79, so it would be like us signing Cronaldo today!!

Thought the 'watermark' was a nice touch, but if you want rid.... And, unfortunately, I think it will be hard to find any design that doesn't resemble a previous incarnation SOB, we have had about 27 variations of the old red and white thus far lol!!! I actually like the quarters myself, but think its to retro too be wheeled out in 2009. It would make us stand out though!!! -
