  1. and when you understand .. not buying a programme & not spending as much on food & merchandise ... which was what the poster stated isnt exactly a boycott more a way of recouping the funds needed to find the extra .. I at no point have mentioned or agreed to boycotting .. all I said was the person who said they would do this was shouted down.. but what’s actually wrong with adjusting your budget/? On the one hand now we have people saying if you dont like it stay away ( vote with your feet) & in the next breath slating the going to spend less at the stadium ... who is it here that actually wants it both ways?
  2. your best post all day .. shame the two lines you typed spoiled it
  3. Yes to be fair to him I think he has, & i think he has worked the maths pretty close, so that as a season we will have more revenue .. BUT this is football .. IF wo behold we are NOT 1st or 2nd this move will prove to be a classic own goal we MIGHT start the season against the 10 hardest teams 6 which may be away ... teams could start with their set of easier fixtures and we could just start poorly .. these things DO effect attendences always have ( well accept at the dell lol) I bet come xmas & IF the dreaded happens & we are say 9th? 8th? the half season ticket is offerd again .. I dont think NC is bad for the club, but I do think he has been advised poorly or has ignored advise given him re attendences & pricing & ST & half ST & why remove the st after the 6th? for one game being played? one less game? Oh do wake up & smell the coffee ..
  4. stretching themselfs this MONTH ...but as I keep saying thats NOT the point I made that you keep missing because your too busy justifying to prove your right OK OK lets not buy the season ticket .. the clubs removed instalment plan .. lets get the half season ticket ( as when this news come out lets be fair most's budgets had been set ) Oh .. we can't this has been removed too .. WHY because they rather NOT the season ticket holder so they can charge the "tax"
  5. they dont! thats not what's been said or implied & the overall cost isnt the issue
  6. I dont think TDD I have said they are .. there are things I disagree with that NC done but I still think he's focused & trying to get the best for Southampton FC & not just himself
  7. So the people who express a difference of opinion on this are moaning & those responding are ... oh yes moaning!
  8. Yes agree with you here on this point for NOW.. & NC has to be head strong & determined if we are going where we want to go.. does that really mean we have to agree with everything & not voice how we feel?
  9. I thank them both too, It dosent mean I agree with everything of course they have done a LOT of good & the intentions over all are to get the club where it needs to be .. no issue there .. Don't agree the right call been made re season tickets tho
  10. But as I keep saying, I accept the cost as do most people. I dont think I have seen anyone post otherwise. This could of been handled better. OK re the payment plan BUT notify people in feb / march & give them longer to renew ( 29 days? for many to find over £1000 ..) even if we say it was poor planning on their part , it was also very poor planning by the club.
  11. But the silly thing is they COULD of charged up front for all this... & with notice people would of ( and will) pay it I agree with you re funds BUT why do people keep missing the fact if thats the case why remove the half season ticket? there fore losing a revune chance I have no issue with the increase really .. & i'm kinda lucky re MY ST but thats NOT the point I do understand why this has upset people.. & the is NO need pre planning COULD of generated the same income if not more lets be fair they had a year!
  12. I dont disagree that the season tickets will prob NOT be down, might even be up However there was a good good chance they could of been up a HUGE amount
  13. TDD thats the point he is actually making though that actually they want less ST so they can make more money on the ticket so to speak If they push on towards this even more so next season, & then season after the groundwork already done, they can rub their hands with glee while a huge amount of season ticket holders by then are paying well in excess OR cant get them because they are limited so as to encourage more ticket purchases.
  14. Your missing the point. It's this narrow vision the club & those at top are relying on, so well done Your ignorance to those who cant afford the season ticket with no prewarning ( in many cases needing 3 or 4 ST's ) is amazing, but if it bothers you just ignore the thread instead of insulting people .
  15. Why are some so blind to what the complaints about? & so ignorant to where this is leading & then rude to those who use the forum to express it?
  16. yes isnt he .. fancy trying to save the money he is having shell out else where on the ticket tax etc .. so do explain why readjusting his budget makes him a di*******
  17. The reason is simple Someone at top who made this choice believes we will now sell a simular amount to last year, will get more season ticket holders at the full price & more tickets sold with the +3 for booking fee .. If it was about admin they wouldnt of taken away the half season ticket. there is more admin involved in sorting tickets game by game than for season ticket holders so it's all boll****s amazed some believe it
  18. as pointless as you trying to win your point? but why do extra posts bother you .. Well done to your self ....
  19. TDD no one has a problem with you or the thread
  20. I understand all that, as many do so IF this was the case & it's just about wanting early fees .. why remove the half season ticket which would of allowed those who had been thrown into limbo to at least "a chance" to buy some time after the sunden removal of the instalment plan with 30 days notice to get a renewal .. Most are NOT worried to much about the actual increase!
  21. Agreed, many things used to happen .. but from what I have read I think people are just trying to express how this lack of notice to the change & the removal of the other option .. the half season ticket .. why is it annoying so many that these fans express that ?
  22. Your missing the point Jason made completly & No one expects the club to be a saving scheme BUT as pointed out WITH notification or forward planning both club & fan would be better off. The ticket info COULD have been put forward earlier, people COULD have been given more time to adjust .. and as I keep saying the club COULD have kept the half season ticket .. so that those who this "shock" hit at most could of had a straw to cling to & got through for this year ..
  23. actually yes they do now you can pay 16 a month here & can go as often as you like!! so umm in answer to your question Yes!
  24. rofl theres a £125 fee just for borrowing.. & 15% interest ....
  25. ML has been great .. but NC? just what move has he made that’s been so great? ok to be fair it was him that attracted ML in but alienating & dividing the fan base is what made things difficult for Lowe ... Some of the way this has been handled is poor & has implications for what will happen when we actually have success coz as many of you pointed out we haven’t yet. Yes fans will come out the woodwork, The JPT taught them this & in a way it may of been our downfall in a way? It's a shame though that those who moan about it for all are critised for it.. because these are big increases with taxed ticketing which if it works I can see eventually effecting all of you .. What an earth are they going to add on when we get promoted to championship? this is a recession ... next time round recession over & maybe promoted .. and then an increase of 120? 150? 170? who knows.. if you have that sort of money to throw around & cant see how people buying ST for 4 or + people .. lucky you...
