Please no..."Snooker" is crap... Seriosuly need to be getting a much higher calibre of player than that im afraid...

Good old Tommy Foreskin...i remembered the garbage we got told he signed...could be a future England goalkeeper... One of the few relics of the "dark days"... How he made it as a professional i will never know... So typical isn't it...all the players you want, you only get on a 3 year deals...and the absolute dross get a 5 year gimp mask of a contract... Honestly i think they need to pay his remaining year of his contract and get him out...save on lunch costs, laundry etc Absolute waste of space...managed to scam free money for half a decade

Owen again...boring now...every window, the same boring topics on here... Just for the record, Owen would be a disaster...he is old, wants a fat cat salary...doesn't do anything in the game and doesn't have a left foot No thanks...young hungry striker please...if our scouts earn their corn...we should be getting value abroad -

Saint in Winchester....what are you smoking?? Kevin Davies for £2 million?? i wouldn't take him on a free...the last thing we need is a journey man forward. As for Rhodes he wouldn't cost £3million...more like 5 or 6 mill. I think Jay Rodrigues is the guy who ticks all the boxes...young, quick, good finisher. Hooper is also a good player but the sweaties want too much cash... For what it's worth...Jones is a good player...however after his acrimonious departure, he would have to go some to turn fan opinion -
Sorry back to the point in hand...Davis is not good enough for Saints. I live in London and used to have a Fulham season ticket about 3/4 years ago as it was only £300 and used to watch Davis or "snooker" as he was known... If you were in the Champ, he would be an option but no way the Prem....never never good enough We should be looking at players like N'zonzi or Palacios

Having watched Zaha play quite a few times live, can't help thinking he would be pefect for Saints... he also has the ability to play out wide...especially as we can't play 442 every game and are gonna need to play 4-2-3-1. Rodrigues would also be a quality addition up top...be delighted with those 2. I think the wing areas are our biggest area of concern as we don't posses the pace and trickery...also i can see Lallana being played in the hole in some games...therefore we are very light Jarvis and Phillips (if Bpool aren't promoted) would be amazing...also what about Xerdan Shaquiri from Basel?? very hot property if he would be interested. In terms of centre mid...i think we would benefit from one more centre midfielder...would love to see Steven N'Zonzi from Blackburn. In defence i like Curtis Davies in centre of defence and either Trippier/ Simpson or Clyne would be excellent at right back. A young up coming back up keeper would be fantastic to push Davis also -

Pilchards....Ambrose is no ball winner im afraid...he is an attacking midfielder Clyne would be an excellent signing...as would Zaha from Palace...Phillips from Blackpool...Adamoah as a back up on the left for Lallana...Butterfield on a free...Curtis Davies from Brum and then Hooper from Celtic and Rodrigues from Burnely
-
would be a crap signing...that old cart horse lost his legs a few years ago and is now looking for another mug to pay his over inflated wages...let's hope it's not Saints... Someone like Curtis Davies fits the bill...young, quick and can build with the team
-
The Durrell on Fulham rd...cracking pub and will be in there with quite a few saints buddies
-
In GK : Kasper Schmichael LB: ?? (foreign international signing) CB: Curtis Davies RB: Nathanial Clyne RM: Matt Philips LM: Albert Adamoah CM: Jacob Butterfield, Robert Snodgrass CF: Gary Hooper Out's GK:Bialkowski, Foreskin LB: Harding, Dickson RB: Butterfield CB: Jaidi, Seabourne LM: Puncheon CF: Barnard, Connolly
-
I think you guys are forgetting Phillips from Blackpool...he is a must....Adamoah would give good decent back up for Lallana. I think a new left back as cover for Fox...a real quality centre half...centre mid, Goalkeeper and a striker is a must for the Prem... Sounds a lot but completely need to improve the quality to stay up in the Prem
-
The left back position is one of the hardest positions in football to fill as there is such a lack of quality in that position it is unreal... Even at world level...beyond Ashley Cole, Evra and Marcelo you are struggling...in the Prem...Cole, Evra...maybe Assou Ekoto is okay Then the Championship...Fox is clearly the best left back in the division...yes £1.7 mill was a decent whack but in terms of ROI, he is easily worth it... He will do well in the Prem as well...it was a cracking signing...
-
Sorry Clark but we have bid £3 mill for sharp and Lennon confirmed we have had 2 bids rejected for hooper so I would argue there is money and Adkins continually claims there is money to spend. The owners even if not that interested should spend a few million because the pay off to get to the prem is massive and any business person worth his salt can see that. There is money there but saints and particularly cortese do not pay market value for players. Cue cms bid for 650 k, low ball bid for Simeon Jackson when he was at his former club. We regularly have 30 k crowds, are in a great position and have an £80 mill jackpot if we can go up and still we are not making moves. It is unforgiveable!!!! This season will be be down the toilet over our transfer policy. Even now when we are desperate for a striker we are getting a cut price Japanese international who will need time to settle etc...last night showed we have no quality in depth... As I said and some of can argue until u are blue in the face, unless we can get 3-4 quality players in we will struggle to hold down a play off... No investment = no promotion
-
Sorry guys but cortese does need to sort it out. We are flushing away a golden opportunity because we have not invested in the squad. Anyone can bid for players, that doesn't show ambition...tellingly none of our bids are ever accepted...sharp, hooper etc It is time cortese got these deals done!! £15 mill for oxo, great by if we wont spend it then what was the point?? We have had months to scout and plan knowing the squad wasn't strong enough...just smacks of cortese and his ego getting in the way of deals getting done. Saints only seem to want a bargain ala cork, chappers, lee...well when all is said and done and we have messed up this golden opportunity I hope posters who blindly think cortese can do no wrong will recognise this is where it wrong Simple formula for the half wits No investment = no promotion
-
The wheels came off a while ago...our form in the last 6 weeks is relegation... I'm often critical of people on this board as I don't feel they really understand how important it is to get new players and I'm not just saying it for the hell of it... Our team has over achieved with the squad we have...we lack quality in depth. Out first eleven when fit is very good but players like holmes, doble, seabourne etc our squad players are not good enough. Tonight we were crying out for a striker...Connolly looked every day a 34 year old and we had no one on the bench to change things. We have had months to prepare our bids for strikers, get them in etc and every time we can't complete a deal... Well failure to add 2 or 3 players will see us not get promoted when we have an amazing opportunity given our position in January. Questions need to be asked about cortese...our financial backing because something is not right....

2 signed??? who ??? Don't tell me Jos as he wa signed months ago... Some of you lot need a reality check....frankly we have over-achieved with the players we have...we have a cracking starting eleven but not much after that...our bench against Brighton was a disgrace and had no one who could change a game... Simply put...we will not go up if we don't add 3-4 quality additions in this window...anyone who says otherwise doesn't have a clue about football, the championship or the strenght of the saints squad -

Appy it's not a myth...they signed Simeon Jackson who helped transform their season...they also signed Surman, Elliot Ward, Zak Whitbread and Marc Tierney if memory serves me...besides it's got nothing to do with our rivals and what they are doing... we have a small squad in tems of quality and we have run out of steam...every game is vital and another 2/3 games without a win and we are out the top 4, let alone top 2.. Understand the gravity of the situation...this window shapes whether we get promoted or not...no question -

wow have to say i am getting seriously worried by the lack of activity...now i know its not for the want of trying but at what point do we have to say that Cortese is not getting these deals done?? Lee should be a decent signing but im not convincd of his impat this season due to integration etc...Saints look to be dragging there heels yet again in the market when we are in desperate need of revitalisation... Norwich last year were very quick to do deals...they got them in early and did so again in the jan window...yet here we are 3 days from the forest game with no one on the bus. With our away form, current form and everything else considered, we are looking at another loss or maybe a draw...i just think the longer we wait, the season will be flushed down the toilet. Anyone who watches saints can see what we need, we have done our part 30k attendences regularly etc...its time Nicola pulled out the stops and got some deals done... yes its tough, but waiting until the 11th hour will be too late -

Love how Holloway thinks he can pick up Puncheon on the cheap...450k, then when it suits he will want upwards of £4 mill for Phillips... Use Puncheon as a bargaining chip in this window...really think one of Phillips, Sordell or Adamoah would be fantastic... -

Im absolutely amazed no one has mentioned Ricardo Vaz Te....scored twice today and lots already this season. His contract is up in the summer...surely he would be an excellent signing?...young, pacey and scores goals...exactly what we need Also Matt Phillips would be an amzaing signing...can't help thinking they would want Punch and at least £3-4 mill but would be a fantastic long term investment
