Maybe these pre-season results are a good thing as it will show to the new management that the most urgent investment that is required is in the team management and players. Otherwise there is no way we'll be getting out of this league except at the bottom end.

I think ML and the new team will be well aware that footballing success, just like business success, doesn't come by chance. I'm quite certain that there must now be a short list of potential managers and each of their respective records will be scrutinized. Right now, TA's wouldn't bear scrutiny in comparison with some of the names that are being mentioned. So I don't think we need to worry on that score.

The more I think about it, it has to be WGS. Why would the club invite WGS to Staplewood and why would WGS go there. If it's not true, why wouldn't the club deny it. I'm sure that AO must be media savvy enough to know the frenzy it would cause and the easiest way to quell the excitement would have been to deny that WGS was at Staplewood, even if he was there on the off chance. In my mind it has to be WGS otherwise, what is the point?

Wee Gordon Strachan, if he came back we would be a CL side within 4 to 5 years, I have absolutely no doubts about it. He's a class act, the bees' knees!! What better way would there for the man to prove his managerial prowess than to take a Div 3 side all the way to the CL!!
