I started directly opposite that (Milton/East stand corner), then graduated to the Milton in the skinhead heyday, when we used to be divided from Arsenal/Chelsea/West Ham/Spurs/Man U/Liverpool and even Stoke one time by only a thin blue line of the filth. Great distraction mate...First time I took the ex was to the Saints .v. Fulham 'starfest' back in the 70s, we had Ossie and Channon - they had Best, Moore and Marsh. The ex wanted t'see Besty. Anyway the place was heaving and please feel free to correct me on any FACTs as maybe my memory is a little blurred on this one. Best's wife at the time (a real piece of @ss btw, Angie was it?) was dressed in leggings and was there with a huge lensed camera, going round the Dell photographing Georgie's every move. Anyway with Saints 2-1 up, slightly against the run of play, Alan Slough took out Channon. The ref had a word with the offender a then after a few seconds booked him. Bestie came over and remonstrated in his own innimitable way and don't cha know it the ref send GB off. Rodney Marsh a little later in the game, when he realised it was a lost cause (probably) feigned injury and as Fulham had already played their sub they were down to 9 men. Saints ran out 4-1 winners. Quite an eventful match, loads of drama - so the b!tch-trog (ex-wife) loved it. My overwhelming memory from that was the poise and excellence of Bobby Moore, what a class act. Later, the story went round of why George Best was ejected...legend has it that he went up to the ref and asked him why he booked Slough, the official said "He called me a ¢nut!!", Best responded "He's right, you are a ¢nut!!"....the ref was not amused and sent him packing (apparently).

You make an excellent point. As an option we could respond to the topic, if we do not want to respond to the topic then we shouldn't or we could just ignore it, but then we're not catering to the disruptors, stalkers and agitators...(I'm sure there are cool, modern 'intrawebbie' terms for them).

Post o' the day, made me laugh anyway mate.

Yesterday (on the TV iver here) was saying something about the club is gonna take it's own sweet time, select a 'foreign' style 'coach' not manager, who will have less player input blah-blah-blah etc. My Saints supporting and usually very calm American girlfriend became very animated, yelling something in the vein of "You've tried that already you jackasses FFS...that's why we're in League One..." I was impressed, yet speechless.

Well 'Arcadia' is LA's fastest growing city....but in future stick to being a clown, that's how we all affectionately think of you my little friend, y'know one of them lovable red-nosed types FAF I live in a more coastal part than Arcadia, however not that far. Yes I watched the game, the highlights and then a replay of it (which I admit I fast forwarded throough quite a bit). What you say is probably true. However we did not play well, we played weak opponents with little or no resources in a very low standard of a league. We really should demand better and retain high expectation, not just 'settling' for mediocrity. FYI - we still lost.
