  1. Buctoo, mate you have an extremely valid point. Some people could feel well weird about that. With that in mind I will guarantee any good wishes I can pass on. Maybe a new thread specially for it...not my call, but whatever - I will assure Ron gets positive regards.
  2. We didn't last time...and that is why we stayed up so long...
  3. Have to be honest, the people at the http://www.giveittoron.co.uk group are thrilled to bits, hey sorry about any latent plugging...but it's not too late to donate.
  4. By the time you read this, Ron should have the memorabilia you sent me to give him - so thanks OSM!!
  5. Ron is up and about and pretty mobile. His operation appears to be a real success, so much so that the leading surgeon we set him up with is really motivated to carry out the second operation as soon as possible, most probably Thanksgiving time/late November. Ron is settling in well in his new location, which is much better and more appropriate than his last place. Him and his wife Chris are in a much more stable and better situation than the recent past health-wise, locale and financially. Big Ron gets around well he is continually recovering mobility, he is very happy and very grateful to everyone's help and encouragement. This is truly good news and I hope it does something for the 'feel-good' factor around us at the moment which could do with a little injection of positivety.
  6. This Rotherham commentator is mentioning Lall-ee-oh-arnha a lot ???
  7. Outstanding mate, genuine thanks!!
  8. Saints TV...not coming through yet again for midweek tie. Is there an alternative?
  9. TBF he was Gillet's be-atch at Pride Park, he had him in his back pocket. Always liked Savage's contribution but he is a spent force.

Once bitten...hmm, the 'Once' part goes for Once again you have proved t'be the most bitter rather than bitterne stalker of y'hero. The envy manifesting in the form incidious, ranting bile would be fairly flattering coming from another. I can't decide whether you focus on y'hero or America more which ever one you should turn that frustrated envy and green-eyed desire 17 odd miles South East or something. The Bitter(ne) bit...yeah, you bit yet again, replying with all your rancid jealousy to a note I put which was a quite obvious 'tongue-in-cheek' irony response of stereotypes to your earlier post...only difference, I got that irony whether or not you had the brains to know you had used stereotypical irony...you just don't get it. Instead you chose to do yet another non-well informed character assasination on y'hero, someone you yearn to know a lot about and yet know nothing. Yes you had Bitterne, oops I mean bitten! If you don't get the huge comedy value of this get someone a shade more astute to explain it. Next time I'm over I'll buy you a drink, shake you by the hand and you can fulfil your fantasy by meeting me. I am sure you're an ok bloke and maybe you'll see I am too.

True...worked in Squires full time on Saturdays and missed quite a lot of the 1972-3 season then worked summer only Saturdays 'til '78 in both Squires and David Allen. Also missed a schitload of games by playing on Saturdays and even more by being in the US. Can't have y'cake and eat it sometimes.

Yeah, on the money mate + he is polite, team-oriented, educated, well-spoken, doesn't rob minimum wage earners and still has his own nice teeth....
  13. Full of potential Or Great to watch
  14. Exactly mate...who wants t'hear about those other games anyway.
  15. Hilarious FFS
  16. 2 words 'doh!'
  17. So does that make it the first time we've selected a US player for first team league duty by adding California-Kyle? Good luck to the young man if he gets in, decent lad I believe.
  18. No contest, the one we kept is the best...the others have done very little since leaving. Dave could (big 'could') score for us one day in the prem...
  19. Charlie all respect to you mate, very admirable and even more optimistic than even I normally am. You are someone that I can definitely read with interest. In my opinion, Guthrie, unprovoked, decided he would run up to a defenceless opponent a pre-meditatedly and visciously (let's say - just) 'foul' that player...heck that happens a lot in the game, for one reason or another. Despite this cringingly awful 'foul' the game little opponent didn't go down like so many of today's '*****es' but continued attempting to play (I bet he wished he had gone down after the initial meaningless 'foul'). So Guthrie, not satisfied with getting away with the first violent 'foul', collected himself and decided that his decision would be to assault his adversary and this time it was more than a 'foul'. If you decide to punch someone in the face you may not have written it down and taken a sworn statement of intent to break that person's nose or jaw...but most probably that is what you are going to or intending to do. The first was temper, the second was worse and can only be understood as a pre-thought action. All bets for that little 9 karat ¢unt were off after he decided to do it TWICE FFS
  20. On we're back on track for a Euro spot...doh. So what was nipper's debut goal like?
  21. Phil - Simo - Isla, thanks, you guys are great...still can't get anything tho' one of those 'out of area' things I guess.
  22. Is there anywhere I can get, the Saints one is toally crapping out!!
  23. We seem to be overlooking the fact that he had one excessively violent go, when that failed he gathered himself again and thought to re-assault a defenceless player from behind. And yes he did intend to break his leg....
  24. ....what ex-Saint loanee did Sunday?...Harsh I know, but in this case I truly believe the little thug should be banned until Fagen's first team return and then should start whatever ban he was gonna get for that double cowardly attack...Come on someone give me one good reason why in this case that would not be just. He knew exactly what he was doing, it was unprovoked and petulent...what's more he has no remorse.
