On the youtube equaliser video knocking about you can see that it is all down to papas positioning and reading of the game. If you dont take your eye off papa right up until the goal you can see that he had it all planned all along and gets into space really well.. ledge.

Hi I'm looking for some sympathy and some reassurance please :cool: I hope you will all feel sorry for me when I say that I work under a PO postcode in an office full of Engineer types who hate football, with the majority of them coming from portsmouth themselves... :mad: I find myself forever having to resist the tempation to bring up a conversation about football (was bloomin hard after the JPT game) and when I give in and mention it I get lectured about how football is sh*t and that it is only for chavs and people who like getting in fights. I have fought to the death to defend football/saints but they refuse to even believe its entertaining and when I try to explain that at the very least it is great to have something to follow and have an interest in Im quickly told its an interest in something thats not even interesting.... Theres no hope trying to get through to an army of thick, inbred skates.... Take that Mr Keystroke Monitor, you ***t... .. and relax...

Quite tempted to put a bet on for this game (saints to win of course) but know nothing about betting :confused: I get the whole on the right is what you bet, left is what you win (plus your original money) but confused as to why some bets are labelled as 10/1 whereas another may be labelled 20/2 (might be bad example) why arent all odds marked up as /1 when the two are technically the same?? excuse my noobness

I didnt see too many full on tackles by our players. There was a couple of times I thought someone would go in for the slide tackle and didnt and I put that down to the yellow cards...

Sent shivers up my spine watching that. I was so tense stood there on the sideline watching all those penalties go in! Having looked at the Norwich goals and the way they came about I dont think we were just 'lucky' to win. They were lucky to get away with so much in the game, including the goals. Cant believe norwich tried to imply that the ref was against them and that that was the reason they got so many yellow cards! :mad: It was more about the fact they played like the dirty b*stards they are.....

That is RUBBISH!!! What terrible commentary. Im guessing its by will who does the equally terrible weekly round up videos?!? he wasnt bad at commentating on Radio Hampshire but this commentary is clearly put over the top of the highlights and just sounds fake and prewritten as he would have clearly seen the game. Think an email to saints is in order to get them to just stick with the original audio!! :mad:

As mental as Chapel seem to be going at the end of the vid and the camera goes down it shows the large area of people in front of the cameraman all sat down, still, as if nothing had happened... Think I was still going mental walking down the road with a massive grin on my face :-D

The thing I liked about this was that throughout most of the game Itchen was silent (myself included as I'm not the noisy type) but when we won on penalties the whole of itchen was singing along and I couldnt help but sing along! Despite supporting saints for years it was the first time I couldnt give a fook about how I looked/sounded, just wanted to sing out loud for the team!

I was right next to pards and saw him with his finger on the 4th officials chest screaming at him with the 4th official repeatedly saying "dont touch me, dont touch me" So much drama in that game it was unbelievable. Slept with a smile on my face last night (in my saints shirt of course) :cool:

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the match tonight. Didn't expect too much when the game started as wasn't a great turn out which was to be expected, itchen was pretty quiet and knew norwhich would give us a hard time. Was pleasantly surprised by the first 20 mins or so and the end was the tensest thing I've ever had to sit through. Had the game ended 2-2 (not sure half the stadium knew what happens at a draw in JPT as people were still leaving after whistle, I certainly didn't know and thought replay might be on the cards) then I prob would have come out thinking it was a mediocre game and that we were just a bit lucky to get away with a draw. I didn't see that end coming though!! Not sure if it's because they were tired but did anyone else notice that most of the saints players didn't really acknowledge the fans as they were leaving the pitch?? They just had faces like slapped arses, didn't seem right given the way the result went in the end. Must have been tough out there though and a few players disappointed with their individual performance. I don't think anyone could feel bad missing their penalty though. Great saves from both keepers. Only thing that can beat tonight is walking all over Leeds Saturday!! COYR! Great
