The development of young players is not new as far a we're concerned either. Goes back to the 60s with players like Channon then into 70s with Steve Williams etc we had a very good youth set up back then, through the 80s with the Wallaces, then Shearer etc. Its always been one of the things that the club can be proud of. Its unfortunate that we've never had the resources to keep hold of them. If we could change that then things could be a whole lot different. To some degree thats the key.

Not a lot of difference between that and the level Hooper was scoring at. Also many had said the same about Lambert.

Actually we've only dropped out of the premiership once. As far as Celtic (and Rangers) being world renowed, that has nothing to do with football and real success, its more to do with patriotic/religious allegiance.
