  1. None of them went not guilty, none of them were given the opportunity to enter a plea. It was referrred straight to Crown Court, and the CPS are definitely pushing for custodial sentences for some of them.
  2. I thought Transformer was his best album.
  3. Athletico Bilbao? Is it right that they changed their strip to Red and White stripes after playing saints in the Fairs Cup in 1971 or is that an urban myth?
  4. Surely your post should have read alsd fdod wedl wvgh rwem spef fplw rfds lfcl dfdp qsdm lowd moae. and so on We should then have to decode it using Colossus
  5. I suspect that if Andy Gray had been on TV then, with all the technology, and views from about 50 different angles, and as many chances to view it again, it may have been determined that Bobby was about 1,000,000th of an inch offside. But they did'nt so he wasn't.
  6. I really hate 'Your support is ****ing s**t' especially in league one where actually many of the fans of opposing teams are from areas where they could support higher profile more successfull teams, but choose to support their team for example. Orient have a choice of West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal, Brentford have Chelsea, Stockport and Oldham have Man U, City etc. Base on that I think for many of these teams and given their profile compared to some of the teams in their catchment area their support is actually quite good.
  7. I'm wearing a red and white Mankini
  8. I doubt very much whether NC is sitting in his office thinking 'Oh my god Martin Samuel doesn't like me'. Also Samuel has blown the whole thing out of proportion I think. One comment was made about league performance about 2 months ago, which has since been clarified. As the Chief Executive he has every right to comment on his view of the teams performance. Nobody including AP should get too upset, it should be viewed as a motivator. I can't believe some people saying that AP might leave because it could have upset him. Managers will get criticism at any level, it goes with the territory. He he left us and went to another club, its highly likely that he would be subject to criticism at some point. If I had a £ for everytime my boss commented on my performance I'd be minted.
  9. Players like Mike Channon, Steve Williams etc all benefited from this type of scheme. In fact Mike Channon lived with the (Tommy) Traynor family when he first came to Southampton. So its nothing new.
  10. There was loads of trouble in the ground that day, both in there end and in ours. Especially in the lower tier as you say. most of it towards the en of the game when we were losing. Trouble outside was pretty bad as well. It was the worst seen at a Wembley final up to that point, over 100 arrests. Mostly Saints fans.
  11. If you're talking about the fella outside the Alfred. He's been following Saints for years.
  12. I really hope not. Winning the FA Cup is one thing, winning the JPT is not the sort of trophy that warrants an open top bus tour. Although, I understand Luton did one. Some sort of parade round St Mary's at the next home game would be better.
  13. I thought a Joy Buzzer was the sort of thing available at Ann Summers and other similar outlets.
  14. In order for us all to be sure that AP is happy, when he does his interview he should be wearing a comedy spinning bow tie, and a when he shakes the hand of the interviewer he'll be wearing one oe those electric shock thingys or a flower that sqirts water in the face of the interviewer. That way we can all be sure that he's not going to resign, and that he's happy with the way things are going. Anything less of such pranks and I'll be convinced that he's on his way.
  15. The problem is the football media keep going on about it. Every time pompey are mentioned some pundit goes on about how great their fans are. It gets stated so often after a while people begin to believe it. However we know this is not the case. Some bell end with a bell does not constitute great support I know its not the subject of the thread but it had to be said. (that rhymes quite well)
  16. Surely we can allow him to be in a bad mood every once in a while.
  17. I remember them getting half the milton in 74 about 500 or, I dont think they were given it. They just got in there really early. They were on the left hand side facing the pitch. They tried to take the middle bit behind the goal but failed. Anyone remember the following season when they charged along the west stand before the game to try and get in the Milton. They suddenly stopped for no reason. I've heard all sorts of rumours as to why, but none of them have been confirmed. Anyone remember when Pompey turned up in the Milton around 77/78 when we played millwall and their game was called off at Swindon, about 3 coach loads turned up. They definitely bit off more than they could chew that day.
  18. He's definitely settled into the area.
  19. I thought it was because his missus didn't want to go to Norway
  20. How about Umm Qasr Academicals, afterall Umm Qasr was considered similar to Portsmouth
  21. You'd get a Fatwa put on you for that in some societies!
  22. Maybe they're still upset after we wrecked their ground in 1978!
  23. Pompey only sold about 10,000
  24. Luton have taken 1400. I would have expected them to bring a few more than that. Although they can pay on the day.
  25. Coventry supporters have been allocated the whole of the Apollo Stand (Milton end), so Pompey fans will not be able to buy tickets in this area. The Apollo Stand? no wonder they've had their heads in the clouds for so long.
