Perhaps he should support Moneyfields. There's a good chance thats his nearest club even if he's from Portsmouth.

I flew back from South Africa in April and Soton was on the interactive map.

This sounds like an attempt to undermine the suucesses of the last few weeks. Its old news that someone has sought to dig up. Whether people like Cortese or not, there seems to be a relentless campaign to keep chipping away at him. Its the first time I've posted on the issue and it will be the last. Lets move on and enjoy our success.

Should we be at all concerned about Nigel Adkins leaving?

I can also confirm that he and his family have made plenty of non football related friends in the Wichester area as well. -
Brighton Doing Us A Favour On Saturday Beating Huddersfield...!?!
Prince Jazzbo replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
If Brighton lose or draw with Huddersfield. It would mean that they haven't beaten either us or Huddersfield this season. If I was a Brighton player I would like to make a point of proving that they are the best team in the league by beating at least one of the challengers nearest to them. I think they'll go for the win, but personally I think it shouldn't matter. If we consider ourselves good enough we should be capable of winning all three games. -
To be honest I'm not sure if 95% of teams really care about us. There's possibly a bit of ramping up the ante a bit with teams that have been challenging us for promotion, but that about it. Apart from that, most people I speak to across the country just talk about football. Even with this Spurs thing that we created a few years ago, most of my extended family are Spurs fans and they didn't even know it existed. To some degree I think we acted a bit like Bournemouth and Brighton have with us this season. Mainly because we didn't have rivals in our own league at that time.

I've got a couple of billion Lira in a drawer in my kitchen. Why aren't I on the list?

BBC state Pardew get Newcastle job within 24 hrs.
Prince Jazzbo replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
A bit like Paul Hart's agent did, when the job came up here. -
I always chuckle to myself when I think about CB Fry trying to establish a test cricket team in Nazi Germany.

Most people seem to be forgetting that its our 125th Anniversary not our 40th. No one has gone back beyond about 1970. I'll go for Derek Reeves, his 39 goals helped us on the way to our 'successful' years. I suspect we could include a few from the earlier years if we tried.
-
I doubt it.

He was visiting the new secret headquarters located in a Japanese volcano from which he will oversee all of the world domination schemes that he is currently undertaking. Apparently he's really annoyed with the builders. When Pardew was leaving NC's office after being sacked, the trap door that was meant to send him into the pirahna tank failed to open and he had to pay Pardew compo instead.

There's only one way to find out........

For some reason whenever anyone talks about Nick, the first thought I have is when he committed that deliberate handball at Arsenal in the old league cup. Apparently he blacked out and, from my recollection almost caught the ball from a cross coming into the penalty area. Apart from that, he was a great player for us, and does not get nearly enough recognition for that. He was the only player that was at the club throughout our entire 'successful' period, he was there for our FA win, promotion, league cup final, FA Semis, and Div 1 runners up, thats quite an impressive record. Forgive me if I'm wrong but no other players were there from the start to the finish of that era, were they?

I could do well at Celtic, I could guarantee a couple of SPL titles and a couple of 2nd places.

Most managers say pretty much the same thing, they all use the standard cliche's, I think you learn them when you do the UEFA Coaching Badges. There's a course module called 'Giving Effective Pre and Post Match Interviews'. Although I thought Steve Wigley took it to a higher level during his tenure, as every interview he gave was identical to the one before. But, if I remember rightly he hadn't done the UEFA Badges.

There’s an article in today’s echo featuring that cage fighter where he’s saying how he witnessed the ‘brawl’. I’m not sure if the old bill will be happy about that, as it could prejudice any case they may have.
-
There was an article in the Echo recently where the Whitehouse's licence was only renewed on the condition that they improve security and serve drinks in plastic glasses (if I recall correctly) This was due to it being a major trouble spot. So a glassing seems unlikely. If it was a glassing, i wouldn't have thought he would have been arrested under suspicion of assault. Wounding or GBH would be more likely for glassing. As someone already stated, if he had glassed someone, he would have been taken into custody there and then and received treatment at the nick

Around the same time (early 70s anyway). I remember playing Man City in an evening game and Dennis Hollywood unleashed what could only be described as GBH on Mike Summerbee. I was stood under the East Stand and heard Summerbee yelp as the tackle went in.

I worked in Hudderfield a few years ago. The Hotel I stayed in had a nightclub called Johnny's underneath it, I quite enjoyed it while I was there.

I've Just seen Martin O'Neil hitching a lift at Chilworth Roundabout, holding a sign with Newcastle written on it.
-
Most people would have said the same about O'Neil when he was at Wycombe, that would have strengthened their view when he walked out of Norwich after a dispute with the Chairman.
-
We may have merely asked to speak to Howe when the compo discussions with the Lincolnshire club started to go south, and Mitchell believed that to be a job offer.

I wonder if he flew down from S****horpe International Airport
