A pair should be place at each entrance to the tunnel.

Lets just hope he doesn't have the same agent as Ronnie Van Needlemans.

£600k is quite a bit lower than many other Chairman/Chief execs. I've recall others that were the £1m+ mark. Also, at the end of the day, part of his job is to maximise income. Remember his statement about ex players etc needing to generate more than they earn if they want to be paid ambassadors.

What does a medical consist of? I always have the image of Norman Stanley Fletcher's medical a HMP Slade whenever a medical for a new player is mentioned anywhere.

To be honest I fail to see what all the excitement about the kit is. Saying we've got a nice kit is almost the same as Lowe saying we've got great catering at the time that we got relegated from the Premier League. Saints could play in string vests, y-fronts and hobnail boots as far as I'm concerned, its how they play not how they look. Having said all that, the shirts look alright to me.

His 61 year old dad had to pay the full price for a season ticket.

Scott Steedman quits as Head of Sales & Marketing...

And I thought it was for not completing the construction of Cortese's new headquarters in the depths of a dormant volcano on a remote Japanese island on time. I heard that at fridays management meeting he was told to leave the meeting, he went into the lift, the floor opened up and he plummeted into the pool of pirahna fish situated underneath Block 9. -
I heard there was guards on the gate to the car park wearing nazi uniforms saying 'Your papers please' and if they are in order your allowed to go to the ticket office and collect your season ticket. If they are not in order you are taken away for questioning.

A colleague put is stapler in jelly. -
To be fair, I think he's a pretty good manager, and will probably go on to make a name for himself. It wasn't him that said he'd been offered the job here,it was Mitchell.

Are there people that post on here who are genuinely bothered about this? Was Cortese the 2nd shooter on the grassy knoll? -
Cork's signing surely can't be as exciting as when Mike Bassett signed Ronnie Van Needlemans for Wirral County FC.
-
Thank god for that.

Have they got the thread of 200 pages long moaning about lack of transfer activity, lack of of ambition or questioning Ian Baird's ability to attract quality players.
-
For me a strange one was Nick Holmes punching the ball over the bar in his own penalty box to give away a penalty against Arsenal in the league cup at highbury in 78. He later claimed that he blacked out.
-
To be honest I dont, but its not impossible, teams like Swansea, Bristol City did well when they first got promoted from league one, and I dont recall them spending shedloads in their first season.
-
What about if we turn this around. Who in our current regular 1st team squad, is not capable of competing in the Championship?
-
Tevez is available.
-
Surely this thread could only be relevant if on the 1st Sept we have not taken any steps to improve the squad in order to compete in the Championship.

Apparently he wore a Saints shirt on his first day of training at Pompey as a wind up.

This whole Cork thing reminds me of when we signed Kevin Phillips. Sunderland had been relegated, he was desperate for a prem club to come in for him, and he had pinned his hopes on Boro. But they didn't want him/weren't prepared to pay the asking price. He hung on and on hoping they would, and they didn't. So it was us or stay with Sunderland. In the end he reluctantly (imho) chose us. But he really never wanted to come here. On the question as to whether Adkins can attract players on not money attracts players not managers. If West Ham offer £15k a week and we offered £20k he will come here. He might be holding out for West Ham, but in the end, the club that pays him the most will sign him. It may not be what he wants though. I also reckon he thinks he still may have a future at Chelsea.

Its going to be about the new bus.

Apparently she's going to Yeovil on a free, so we've missed out on her as well. Adkins out!
