I gave Nick the scoop of Poortvliet yesterday evening. As you say, the echo just cut and paist to get the paper full. Not much of brilliant journalism there.

Poortvliet will be my hometeams manager. He will do good in holland. The problem with poortvliet at saints was that he did not have any cleu what english football was about. Respect for him to step down and not getting sacked. i dont see poortvliet as the main source for our relegation. not even Sir Alex could have saved us last season. He will do well at our place. And we have got him on the cheap. He gets paid 2500 euro a month.

he will probably have a rupert contract which means he gets less wage if relegated. So maybe we can afford him now.
