  1. It did cross my mind but c*nt is also a nickname without the inference you mention. I should start a campaign to use it as an adjective denoting pikeyness, lack of hygeine, incest, diminished brain capacity, extra fingers, cheating and thieving, smelling of fish...a cover-all word for all those things and more...suggestions below? e.g. 'You p*mpey (small p deliberate) barsteward' could mean any or all of the above? Just Friday meanderings but I was heartened when one of my staff said about a ferry from Fishbourne to 'noise of hawking then ptehsmouth' I felt genuine pride...and this is in Narfuk!
  2. Stop now...I'm drooling! I want the season to start tomorrow:nod:
  3. Le Tiss Ron Davies Alan Ball
  4. Missed this yesterday but eternal gratitude and thanks -long may his legacy flourish and grow!
  5. I think that it's naive to suggest it's the manager not the club that players make a decision on - we know better than most that managers are transient although Adkins & NC seem to be very focused on the same aims...made easier by the fact that Adkins has a 1/1 target success rate. What I also think is understated in this sort of discussion is that though the players Pardew signed were here it's Adkins who has got them playing...is this not a facttor that players take in to account? I don't think Pardew did do a bad job but how many sissenters did you hear from our squad when he left? Not many voices raised to say that he was the reason they came or that they wanted to follow him...apart from Puncheon who has a plethora of excuses to fall out with everyone he's ever played for!
  6. And another one crumbles in to blind, deluded hysteria...first the corpulent whore and now this one - the strait-jacket sellers in La la -land must be rubbing their hands! ....keep them coming!
  7. Ooooh - nearly enough for a six a side...if they all turned up that is...if they all have been paid that is....if they had a training ground that is....oh!
  8. But you're the one trolling on a rival team's forum!
  9. I think (ignoring the puerile point re a fan's income) the point is that you pay for or pay what you feel a player is worth - it's irrelevant what the Liebherr family are worth if you can't see the value in a high-priced but largely unproven (at Championship level) player. Generally people like a bargain (at 3.25 million CMS certainly wasn't!) but mostly they're looking for value for money and being able to do the job at a sensible cost...Man City & Chelski might be the exception to this as they appear to be able to p*ss away high priced players but we're being run on sustainable lines. Is Ricky worth £3.25 million? Would Leicester/Brighton/QPR pay it for him? His record and age are much the same as CMS so perhaps we don't see any more value than whatever bid we placed (allegedly) back in January than that actually was. All Brighton have done is replaced one L1 forward with another...woobleedinghoo!
  10. See Allardyce is saying that he went to BHA for purely money reasons...am happy we don't pay over the odds for relatively unproven players...particularly at this level. Of course he could be a revelation but if it was your money would you take that chance? Nor me!
  11. You're feeling the wrong bits...:-) Both not good enough for us now.
  12. Fond very early memories...my short-a*se mate at primary school always insisted he was George Kirby in our kickarounds...as far as I know he carries the nickname Kirby to this day. Definitely one you'd want on your side although I was too young to appreciate the subtleties of his 'protection' value!
  13. And within this reply there's an entire psychology thesis on self-delusion That's just embarrassing in it's feeble and childlike lack of argument or proof. You keep them coming Corpulent...we'll keep on laughing at you.
  14. Oh purleaze! Credit this board with the level of intelligence that you display and that would be believable - BUT this is the real world you deluded fantasist. If this experience is joyless then you are both welcome and very accustomed to it...please continue to heap misery upon yourself and your pathetic, cretinous toilet of an excuse for a 'club'
  15. Happy with that - not just his goals but his touch and ability to weight passes in and around the box will work well, in my opinion, in the Championship.
  16. He's getting stick because his arguments don't stack up - a concept you should be familiar with?
  17. This....and I was born in the fifties. Want to support a debt-laden club go East ...want to doddle along with the occasional burst of excitement (mostly when Saints are the opposition) - go West. I'm enjoying the ride and have, much to my surprise given the time feeling all elitist in the PL, thoroughly enjoyed the last two seasons. I don't play golf regularly or belong to a club because, although I quite enjoy it, I can't justify the expensive walk so accept I pay more tp play when I do. My choice...your choice - don't blame the guys who have to deliver - and balance the books!
  18. Deep sigh....it's the Daily Heil guys...and given their record for getting things right?
  19. Nice Tea Dance on the pier perhaps...not sure if skates are allowed? :-)
  20. I thought he showed promise but was a bit lightweight - we've had a look and decided no. Good strategy, end of story.
  21. ...and still providing laughs every day! Long may it continue :-)
  22. Tory activist found dead in Glastonbury portaloo Rest in p*ss....
  23. And some no sense of humour - do you really think that these remarks would be made if there was even the remotest chance of the family seeing or hearing them? Get over yourself - do!
  24. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/27062011/58/championship-leicester-land-danns.html Was never quite sure where the rumour started but Leicester in serious signing mode!
