They had to have one saving grace...wuckfits!

Trying to work out if this is the contradiction it reads like...but I understand where you're coming from...I think..

Anti Pompey is pro-Saints...it's only really us who sing them and they add to the atmosphere. Thought that the variety was fine yesterday...loved 'Are you watching Pompey Scum?', loved 'We are top of the league', loved all the player songs...what's not to like? And yes, I was there and yes, my throat hurts.
-
Hmmm - only seen him play once at Kettering and there were a couple of the U21s that I'd put in the queue ahead of him....actually 3 if you include Mills (Isgrove & Racine being the others) but as I said...only going by the one game.
-
Probably guess he's never actually been to a match?

Been waiting for his mum/sister/lover to come out of jail to type it probably...

...or the sun ever shining again, waking up in the morning...how can you live with the negativity? You asked once why I was so unpleasant re my comments about your negativity...you have single-handedly managed to preach doom and gloom since before kick-off yesterday...moaned about predictability in not having signed everyone that we could have. I guarantee you not one team in the leagues has....we produce a very encouraging performance (yes I was there and I'm not getting carried away) and still the best you can manage is misery and negatives. I'm happy to deal in reality - negativity is not reality, misery should be reserved for the occasions that demand it. Please - get a f*cking life! Thank you

There is no higher authority than Le God...

The problem is that the dissent is against reality. I'd like to pay less, naturally but the reality is that I also want to watch my team being competitive in the Championship and having a realistic chance at the PL. That doesn't come by not spending and we've all witnessed what happens if you spend unsustainably.

See post 50....and read the link perhaps?

Easy one for me...parking is easy and the town centre is not far so there are plenty of choices.

Why do we hate pompey, our fishy neighbours?
dronskisaint replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
You still going to be there then? Could be some Russian catering truck driver could flatten it...or access across car parks will be land mined? -
They say you are what you eat....I don't remember eating a tank?

I have a hatred for all things Pompey that's, in it's own way, as irrational as my love for Saints. I can't apply logic to love and hate...certainly the revilement that I and many others feel over the way that they have acted over the last few years have honed that feeling and possibly I've tried to rationalise feeling the way I do to justify it but really it's just a by product of my influences over the years...the people, places, teams that have been a part of my utterly irrational love for Saints have also contributed to my hate for the skates. It's the way it is...try the love/hate theory in your thesis...it won't take many words :-) -
I think he's more viewed as Saints version of TCWTB...disgust, embarrassment....not one to be downwind of. That being said he probably works in a bank and has 2.4 kids and a mortgage...

Or you could think 'S E N S E O F H U M O U R' rather than obsession? NB - This does require having one.

I enjoyed seeing them at Kettering last week and this promises to be a stronger team...sadly I'm 200 odd miles away

Why is divorce so expensive? Because - it's worth it! Dead rat in the road...couple of hundred yards further on a dead lawyer What's the difference? There are skid marks in front of the rat. Why don't sharks eat lawyers? Professional courtesy

As I said I'm not a skate apologist

OK,- Not aimed at you specifically any more than your 'weird' comment was necessarily aimed 'just' at me but given that you specifically mentioned that Cortese used to work in a bank in a sarcastically questioning manner maybe it could give that impression? I too believe that both the direct debit payment plan for season tickets and the half-season ticket are good ideas and open the options up for those who can't find all the money at once. The latter, quite naturally, would need to be dependent on knowing how many full season seats were had been sold...quite obviously it makes sense to sell as many of those as you can first. There may (or may not) be sound financial reasons why the club doesn't employ a third party credit agency to offer a 'buy on tick' service. These companies don't have the greatest PR on their interest charges and many on here (maybe you - I can't be a*sed to go looking) find fault with the booking charges levied by the club currently so maybe they don't wish to incur further acrimony by default? I know the arguments on this have been had on other threads but all these credit agencies are available to anyone who has the appropriate creditworthiness so it's a pretty vacuous argument...why should the club become a credit agency when so many are out there? I'm sorry if you feel all my comments were directed at you, personally but I have done you the courtesy of addressing the rest of the points that congratulated me on ignoring. The OP found the 12th man concept funny - so do I and I don't apologise for having a sense of humour about 'them'.
