Prefer he moved on...don't agree that he has pace and do believe that he would disrupt what sounds like an excellent dressing room. He and his agent have obviously drawn blanks elsewhere and are using the Echo (friend of SFC...?) to test the water or apply pressure to make him look better...I don't hear that Newcastle are chasing and it was Pardew who signed him. I'd say bye, Charlton might be hiring..Palarse, note that Millwall aren't battering the door down?!

Apparently not, sorry, mea culpa...apologies for misreading the 'not independent' as independent. I would still question the geographic, moral and now also financial merit in supporting militarily any further intervention...financially it would be cheaper to give them all compensation to move elsewhere - one figure that the statisticians seem to agree on is that the population is below 3k or about half the population of Netley, for instance. If population is to be the driver...let's give every adult a million to move back to the mother country...it will be much cheaper and less life-expending than another war! If, however, the geographical and population questions being considered as being surmountable (moral 'ownership' being the same, assumedly as correctable as the rest of the former Empire i.e. not any more) - it just leaves oil riches to fight over - and there would have to be a lot that weren't negotiable in any other way, to make that stick...particularly morally.

That's good then...if they are independent and, as they are such a long way from Argentina they would not expect to be defended by an island they have historical links but not sovereign connection to that is many thousands of miles away. I'm not doubting how British they feel (the Antipodeans, for example, use a largely British model of so many things within their countries)- just questioning how it can be considered that the UK has a greater geographic or moral claim than the Argentinians. If they are genuinely independent then it's not an issue for anyone other than the parties concerned and the UN should anything that breaches their protocol occur. At the moment there's nothing but a fart in a thunderstorm size resolution that is largely driven by the prospect of oil riches...this self-governing independent nation with oil riches will be able to choose who they pay to defend them.

The UK has very little moral right to the Falklands in reality - I'm sure that if the Isle of Wight had Argentine sovereignity the UK would be up in arms (!) - but very much more so if big reserves of oil were suspected to be within the boundaries. The scale is pretty similar in relative distances per size of country. I'm not suggesting that sovereignity should be fought over but does the UK really have any moral negotiating position?

You hang on to that then...you can take your dictaphone along to Moneyfields and play it over the PA! Desper - ate ho...you really do need help:facepalm:

One if if not the most consistent performers this year - superb to have him on the bus. F*ck Celtic :-)

Off button - Cameron's over-privileged, smug for no reason other he's been born with a silver ladle stuck up his a*se simpering face. 'Arry ****flap's face, no reasons necessary here, that vomit-inducing, festering c unt Westwood's image..anywhere. Road - Tw ats that don't dip their headlights either coming up behind you, or coming towards you, or just because they think that you're on the opposite carriageway plus agree with all the other motoring ones. People who chat to their pals, old folk, perfect strangers while I'm waiting to be served in a shop...I don't want to be shopping, I'm here to pay your f*cking wages and get out so f*cking get on with it. Dogs, cats, smokers...dirty vermin :-) People who blame Labour for the Tory-financing, overpaid bankers' world financial crisis. Sorry Dune...you get pluses and minuses in these listings and you've earnt the minuses!

Just a view from seeing the telly but I'm sure it's not just my bias in seeing the most unsavoury bunch of semi-housetrained chav fans in the entire league? Gobbing, foaming, swearing, shell-suit-wearing, mouth lolling, uncouth bunch of inbreds...displayed for the world to see...still not too many televised matches in the Blue Square for the future :-)
-
Yes...but a slow painful one would be more fun - you do understand? Today was your cup final and best chance to pack the ground...and you didn't either win or fill it!
-
I only watched on telly so will be interested to hear reactions from those who were there? For my money we had ten players who played ok to very well...Guly had an off day but we should not pillory him for it as we know he's equally capable of producing moments of genius. Thought Morgan, Jos and Cork were probably the best of the crop though you expect excellence as the norm from Lallana and Ricky. This was their cup final...they didn't win it. We will own them at St Mary's. Oh -and BBC coverage was sh*t, Halsey was competent and the skate following was exposed as weak, srinking and unsavoury so coupled with a point roll on April

I detest that bacon faced tw*t of a Manpoo manager but he and NA sing the same song - only buy if it genuinely adds quality and something that you don't have. We can almost (when everyone is fit) put out two teams that can compete at a high level in this league...sure we're a little short of cover short term and certainly if we did go up we'd need to buy but I'm in full agreement with keeping a team that knows each other's play extremely well having played together for getting on for three seasons in many cases and who have an enviable team spirit. This is what I hope for our January...no 'Hollywood' signings - just genuine additional quality if available. Credit Pardew, Nige and Cortese for buying quality and moulding it in to the current squad - they know/knew what they were doing.

I'll stop when they stop deserving it....I wouldn't wipe my a*se on it after some of the stories they've concocted about us!

I note the Fail couldn't even get the name right in the text of the story!

Embarrassing! -
The Welsh are credited with first using condoms in 1872 using sheep intestine In 1873 the English refined it by taking it out of the sheep first...

Or having a laugh perhaps..? I have no idea if it's true, it's not quite as stretched as themuch older, round shouldered and greying Pardew rumour but what does it matter...gave a lot of people a song, a chuckle and if it riled Phillips (he did nothing when he came on) then great too!
-
I just chuckled lots at the Brett Ormerod one...it's part of what going to matches is for!

Save and print a couple of the signs a few pages back from the opening page...I have and they'll be put to approriate use!

Apparently Phil 'tangerine' Brown left Preston because the position was untannable.....

I like it...I liked the previous one too and yes, I remember there being a competition. What's not to like?

I find Lampitt's move to them one of the stranger aspects of an affair where murk, fraud and blatant criminality seem to be the norm. You have to ask why? There is no logical explanation why he would want to be there surely?

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/east-hampshire/pompey_need_to_pay_1_2m_to_creditors_in_april_1_3334471 Aside from the hilarity of their situation - read down at the bottom where it says Saints have taken their full allocation - would be strange indeed to take them and withold them surely? NB - I'm still looking for two tickets more in hope than expectation??

At about twice your age I agree....even in my youth they were the team down the road, down the leagues, down market...didn't like them but they never bothered me that much and were an easy target to take the p*ss out of. That turned to the hatred at the Ted Bates silence - I don't think I've ever despised a group of people as much as I did then. Everything that they have done since just makes me loathe them more...their attitude to our administration ensured that I will never feel sympathy for all those fun things that have happened and are happening to them now. To me Redknapp is the epitome of all that they represent...crooked, shifty, physically vile and the total lack of shame or apology for the way that they have cheated football, charities, local companies, hospitals, schools just underlines why, like Colin, I wouldn't waste a nanosecond on mourning their passing if they died. No club has ever deserved it more.
