Your pathetic wailing and terminal depressiveness has yet again been a downpour on these threads and I kept from commenting during the match thread but now just f*ck off and die.

For all our collective disappointment we did not surrender, we were not gutless, we got beaten by a team that played way above themselves and fought us every inch of the way. Yes the ref made a bad mistake, yes Fonte made a bad mistake but we can still do this and we can finish the job next week. Draw a blue line, step over it and move on. And the skates are down...that's one of the four positives!

He is factually correct though isn't he...they've collected more points than any other team within that period. I'd certainly argue that we have played far more attractive football but we won't know whether it has won us the league as well until about 2.30 on 28th. I think if we do go up with them it's a victory for both style and substance

Still croaking this morning after a thoroughly professional performance that had confidence and flair all the way through. Peterborough tried to play football which gave us our opportunity to do the same and we were good to watch....difficult to single out anyone in particular as everyone played their part...thought Cork and Hammond were immense, Adam was mesmeric at times...Ricky despite being manhandled at nearly every ball that was pumped up to him as the holding player, was superb with his lay-offs and there are signs of a quality partnership and understanding building with Billy Sharp who, I agree, had his best game in a Saints shirt...for a shortr-arse he's bl*ody difficult to knock off the ball and tenacious as f uck! Defence...Super-Kel pulled off one superb save when needed and dealt well with the little that our back line allowed 'Boro to hit at him...hope Jos substitution isn't any more than a little knock as he was imperious - it didn't affect his little victory dance in front of the terrace at the end! Jose had a better time today too against a couple of tricky little player and that big gangling lump Barnet! Fullbacks were class..Butterfield gets better with each game (and I'm a big fan of Frazer) and Fox shows more and more why we bought him...quality! Chappy...great energy and tracking and superb to see him back but his touch and control haven't yet returned to the same level as his fitness. I can imagine NA putting his arm round him and saying keep up that work rate and the touch will return...thought he looked knackered around 20 minutes to go but drove himself through it. Guly only had a very few minutes but his touch and feint to set up his own shooting chance was pure instinctive class...shame about the shot but the game was well-won by then! Atmosphere...brilliant on the terraces and we barely heard 'Boro which surprised me as they were quite noisy last year but actually it was probably our assured display that kept them quiet...nice to hear the Pahars song get an outing too! Happy but croaky this morning...one more win to be sure - it's in our hands and we still could be champions - COYS!!!!
