Agree with Colin that it's 99.9% bull**** but why would the chavs want a manager who has won less than the one they have? Not ever understood why the wobble-gobbed crook is rated by anyone on the back of his record?!

It's customary to play our matches at St Mary's, it's customary to use whoever it is for the bingo bus, it's customary for our evening games to be played Tuesdays, it's customary to get season ticket prices announced in June...get over yourselves, we've just been promoted!

+1:p

Happy Birthday to a player who made my early Saints supporting days so exciting - a real Saints idol whose scoring feats gave us 'yoof' some kind of bragging rights as we had the top scorer in Division One! Great days, great man - thanks Big Ron - have the best of days!

French Africa - Southampton after a slice
dronskisaint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
The article reads fantastically in terms of the ambition and determination to do things in a different and sustainable way...good to be part of this thinking but just know that a few feathers are going to be ruffled...on here (of course)if we don't target high value players and around the 'establishment' because we (so recently of L1:D) are trailblazing in many ways. Liking what I read -
Trotters Bottom...just off the road from the M25 in to Barnet

The Last Live Game I Saw was December 1975

Wasn't it the 'England' handclap that happily fitted the number of letters in SO UTH AMPT ON? That's my recollection of it. 1 2 3 4 - Listen to the Milton roar Give it to Me e lia (Troggs song tune) So many more remembered from my Dell youth. -
I'll save all my invective for saggy....double-dealing, nassty (spelling intentional) f*cking cretin...I'll never forgive him for his 'My 'eart was never in it...' quote. I'll applaud Pardew, Surman and probably most others. I might maintain a dignified silence at Kenwyne, though - although one of the weekend papers had him as our target?!

The 'Greatest collapse in football?' Well I think it is....every day I think 'Great' - won't ever forget their attitude to our admin or Ted's minute silence. Beyond caring about their fate, almost....they deserve to die without a doubt but the ongoing pain and drawn out suffering is excellent entertainment..as is this thread!

Apparently Liverpool's owners asked Kenny Dalglish how he'd feel if he was a supporter after the last season. He knows now....unemployed!
-
I may have missed this somewhere but how long have you worked for the company? It does make a difference to your employment rights but aside from that there's some excellent advice on here and I wish you luck going ahead with it! Edit...just realised this is past being useful...apart from the good luck bit!

Loved him as a player, met him a couple of times out in Southampton..once he was with Ossie, and they were on fire, p*ssed as rats and telling jokes and just talking to everyone. Great article

Relegation 2005: Did Pompey throw the West Brom game?

This! Particularly the WTFILN bit -
Guy in our warehouse called Richard Edward Smith...nobody noticed until he was about 14 and then it was a teacher reading the register...harsh! Does the band Diaperp have a dad called Paul? I was at school (Hamble) with him

You can borrow mine but you'll have to pay her bus fare...

Not a Boat Show exhibitor then? I've exhibited at Southampton Boat Show every year for the past twenty odd years and the skate ramp and kiosk delivers a boat show...complete with marketing, customers, people who pay an entrance fee of around £16 because they are genuinely interested in boats and come for the spectacle and the variety rather than buying socks and deodorant (scrub the latter it's in P*mpey) What was on offer at the shopping mall you can see any day of the week at most South coast marinas for free...it's not even worthy of comparison but as the article was in the fact-vacuum that is the Noose you can expect the accountability to be on a par with their toilet fc's. Happy to help:facepalm:

Are they not already inter-related?

Remind me where I say that?

I think this means you don't exist...a hologram at best...Dubai Rimmer? (actually that's a horrible image)

Oh...and to the original question...when the final whistle went at Hull. I dared to believe that this team had what it took.

Not disagreeing necessarily - although I'd think it was ill advised rather than ego-driven self-promotion but think back - have we ever had a chairman, board or executive who has achieved so much so quietly? I love the way we do business these days, no bullsh itty Redcr*p style press mutterings, no Lowe 'look at me' statements - things just happen and we know about them when they are announced - that's professional - let the other clubs just wish that they worked like we do.

State of limbo is a good description - I've still got the silly grin very close to the surface that's been hanging around since Jose's goal went in..broadened with the third and fourth and took up squatters rights thereafter. I find myself singing 'We're Premier League....' as I drive along but I'm guessing the reality hasn't fully dawned yet - time enough before August.

It's a s hit song but it's excorcised, cleansed and our version is a lot more relevant than theirs ever was - WTFILN!!

Not enough of them to make themselves heard
