  1. Because that was the price? Happy to help...if you'd been multiply impressed would you have offered to pay more?
  2. Having read the two negative and diminutive contributions you have made can I then conclude you are indeed a bedwetter then? Called as seen..
  3. Back in my hotel room... I think Derry called it largely as I saw it but I'd make two observations. Udinese played it far less like a friendly than we did - they chased harder and niggled and got stuck in as if there was something at stake - we didn't and I can't imagine that in the PL we'll hold off the challenges in the way we did tonight. The second isn't a revelation - I've always like Di Natale and tonight he was superb - as were many of their players, the individual skills coupled with their commitment brought about a result that was a little flattering with the proviso that three of their goals were outstanding bits of individual skill that had the St Mary's crowd applauding. And us? We looked better in the second half...I like Danny Fox but Luke Shaw brought energy to that side, Ward-Prowse reminds me of a combination of Stevie Williams and Lallana...his work rate and skill levels were outstanding. Steve Davis looks a winner..he brought commitment and will only improve as he learns the 'Saints way'. Punch was class, worked well with Clyne(who will prove to be an excelllent signing I predict) and had his shot in the second half gone in it would have crowned one of the slickest passing combinations I've seen in pre-season. Thought Fonte looked more comfortable, Jos cool, Morgan less consistent than of late...I can go on but we weren't bad as some are suggesting..we'll not be outclassed by many PL teams if we play like that - Udinese are a team of gifted individuals who are in the CL who worked harder than us tonight...we are a gifted team that's bedding in some new faces and probably need to strengthen the depth at CB. I'm not happy clapping, I'm not bedwetting...we have the basis of an attractive team that can compete this year...on the strength of the three pre-seasons I've seen so far - granted they're glorified kickabouts but the evidence in front of my eyes is from the same matches that most on here don't appear to have actually seen.
  4. Suggest moving from the New Forest to the Alps? You'll find a sympathetic ear...and as little logic applied in creating mildly hysterical posts before aball is even kicked in anger!!
  5. More poetry, more poetry...that is music to my ears indeed...the Liebherr crane is your industrial revolution moment! And we could wheel out McCartney to croak 'Back in the USSR', ...'Penny Shame', 'Money', 'Taxman'...haven't got time to add more but feel free!
  6. So would you be even if you didn't....
  7. Give him a chance to have turned it round - he pi ssed me off with his attitude over the last couple of seasons but the games I've seen this preseason he's been outstanding, committed and skilfull - real team player and encouraging Clyne and the youngsters. And what Whitey Grandad said..
  8. And yet you're still allowed here, tolerated even....mocked certainly but I'm sure you'd expect the latter by showing your colours on here! I can empathise with the feeling of being grateful just to have a club to support, we got lucky sure but I didn't ever have to face the dilemma of knowing that my club had cheated it's way to success by effectively robbing every category and sector of the local, footballing and taxpaying community. I can't be objectively certain but I can't help feeling that I'd have found the dregs so unpalatable that I would have wanted a fresh, untainted start.
  9. Ajax match suffered because it was live on TV as much as any other clash....6k -I'll be there, looking forward to it!
  10. Please keep posting...am in Lyon and can't get on to the live feeds...and it's all good so far for PFatinthepipesC :-)
  11. Aside from the basic immorality of borrowing from a taxpayer that you've stolen from... Could this be their 'minted member' who will provide funds??!! It is P*mpey so think before answering
  12. Applause smiley thing
  13. Form an orderly queue here for autographs...
  14. So by definition your club is thick and insanitary? If success was based on cheating, robbing and refusal to veer from this path the club would be world champions and the competition could be called off for the future and the cup placed alongside the fat in the pipes for posterity
  15. A million times no...divisive tw*t who can start a scrap in an empty room. Agreed ok preseason but not for us!
  16. Thanks - advice much appreciated
  17. Chat to an accountant...not knowing your income or likely mileage it's difficult to comment but I hadn't realised back in 2003 how much mine was costing in tax. Your car choices seem sensible... for tax purposes.....
  18. Paranoid skatesophrenia?
  19. Sad to read but what a brilliant footballing upbringing to set you on your way, ...condolences
  20. Did well for us in L1 and to a lesser extent last year, goes with my thanks and I'm pretty sure he'll do a similar job for them. Will particularly remember his goal against Leeds in L1....karma enacted!
  21. Agree totally, felt he was in tune with the football level being played all through Also feel encouraged by the overall performance...yes we'd have been punished in those first 20 mins in a competitive match but there's quality all over the pitch, very encouraged by the youngsters too. Looking forward to next week now enormously, Wolves aren't Champions League but their recent PL experience will make it interesting...don't think they've lost many players yet?
  22. I have an office and warehouse in (Great!) Yarmouth. It IS a ****hole full of fat chavs, pikey traders, has a very high dependency on government handouts, has the 11th highest unemployment in the UK...do you think that this map was an early twinning excercise? Of course Yarmouth residents know it's a toilet, they have a crap football team and recognise it as such and certainly don't delude themselves that they are special by either definition. To my knowledge said team has never stolen from it's supporters to try to buy success and no manager has ever had a dog with a Monaco bank account so it all falls to pieces a bit in the modern equivalent....but then again it isn't Yarmouth that's falling to pieces!? A historical conundrum
  23. I'd love to see a poll from the girls in your office...who they think is fit , who they think thinks that they are fit and who is most in love with himself... Actually I'd like to see that from my own office!
  24. She'll have forgotten now then...you're excused
