Ramirez but the competition was close behind...good isn't it?

Beautifully put! Been away in Germany for 3 days and catching up....note to self, 2 days must be maximum as it takes an equal period to catch up on this thread.

Do we think Harry will be manager by Xmas
dronskisaint replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
No - why even contemplate it?! Tainted goods...the cu nt took us down ffs!!!!!!!!! -
Sure - it was this pre-season Says pretty much everything that we're comparing our meaningless friendly attendances with their 'bestest fans rallying behind the club to survive!' I may have taken a little poetic licence here but the point is valid and when did accuracy in figures ever bother them down the other end of the M27. 11k - ptah, I spit on your petty, pathetic little 'club'...never will a fate have been more deserved!

Cricket, rugby (either code), dressed up, messed about with rugby (American football)...not really sure I respect the rugby variants as the most skilful thugs beat the lesser variety but the common denominator is basically to be a bruiser which makes it less about the skill. Cricket bores the cr ap out of me but I can respect the skill.

Well deserved, couldn't be given to a better player or person - well chuffed for him!

Just when it seemed like it was winding down to a flat and turgid, Moneyfields-bound end up pops the ice-cream man and brightens up our lives. Roll on this thread, the gift that keeps on giving....

Still love it, thank you for asking

*I'm just recalling the disgrace of Linvoy's testimonial, the oldest skate player's family who wanted to hold his wake at Fatpipe Park, the charities that have not received monies promised, the genuine workers who did work on the 'club' (NB - I personally don't feel that this description should apply to an organisation with associations to the types you have been sleeping with...the gun runner 'club', the pension robber 'club'...I think not!) who went out of business or encountered severe hardship through not being paid - and you, in your delusion, have the temerity to compare all that (so many more examples too) with a spat with our legend and a small change of colour distribution on our home kit??!!! And you purport to wonder why you get annihilated when you post on here!

+1 - I never could understand that one...and I think we paid £5000! This in an era when we bought Big Ron for £55k!

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan

I'm a little less knee-jerk than that. We've played three games, two against last year's champions and runners up and the other who are the form team over the previous ten games - it takes a promoted team time to adjust and the quality of our football suggests we are more than capable of doing so. -

I concur - a puzzling decision from where I sit, hope there is a recall clause that can be activated...he does provide that predator instinct in the box that, aside from Ricky, we've yet to see in the others. BUT...in NA we trust and it's been earnt trust so far. -
Corportus Ho? Deluded..please somebody post the pictureof the 'out of service' cash machine in the fishmongers shop?

What do you call an anorexic with a yeast infection? Quarter pounder with cheese...

Not sure that all the Fox haranguers are seeing the whole picture here - he adds a very sweet left foot to a lot of our movement going forward and to decide after three games (two of which he was up against as good wingers as he's likely to face in the PL) that he can't cut it is to have your 'see what you want to see' specs on. He's a good player finding his feet in the PL...like a number of the squad. I hear the hysterical baying that we haven't got time for him to do that but every promoted team needs a little time to get all the players on the pace and, in my opinion, we should be 100% supportive of allowing that to happen - certainly a player like Danny Fox given what he adds and has even this season added deserves better.
-
Agree completely - we're playing good football, it will all come good.

Saints 2 Man United 3 - Post Match Reactions
dronskisaint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
We've not been outplayed by the top two teams of last season and we've lost to one of the form teams of the moment. We showed real quality today, we perhaps need to get street wise on seeing games out but don't write us off -the team ran themselves in to the ground and U****ed have done what they did to us to a great many teams in the past. Agree with Scotty we didn't get much from the officials. -
Intelligent post - I've voiced before that we owe Pardew a vote of thanks for the quality that he bought in to add to that already at the club. This has been taken to further levels by the meticulous and enthusiastic ministrations of NA who has also fostered a remarkable bonding within the squad that in no small way contributed to the successive promotions. That, I hope will continue...we need a tight and focused group to see us through the first year and beyond in the PL. Sad to see the players go in many ways but they've all been privileged to play their part as we have been grateful to watch and support them and I wish them all well at the level that they eventually find. I hope we find in Mayuka the 'predator in the box' that Billy Sharp gave us...he is the one who I think we might miss in an 'impact sub' role but in NA/NC and the management team - I trust.

I think he's got a role still, he is the most predatory of our strikers in a bit of a Ted MacDougall (though with better control) manner. He's likely to be the one picking up the deflections, rebounds etc when we are pressing for a winner/equaliser or chasing a game. I also think he has more skill than he's given credit for, I hope he stays. -
Eurobot: Southampton are moving closer to the sensational signing of Gaston Ramirez, the young Uruguayan player from Bologna. Nigel Adkins has said: "We are very, very close. All being well, he will become our player."

Agree that there will be a tinge of sadness if it is the end of his Saints career but this is evolution and he'd go with my thanks and appreciation for more than doing the job he was brought in to do. Never gave less than 100% and can do that for Charlton too. His house? Saints players and managers don't sell houses down here...they've arrived where they want to be and can come back when they retire...was probably bought with two promotion bonuses! -
Mack - you are the only fish-molester on here that, I think, understands and who has genuine humour but you're expecting me to renounce my scummerdom?!

As much as Chanrai wants to charge him...it's his ... This, fishy interlopers, is why this is all so much fun for us - and another example of who holds the cards here - and it's not Trevor Birch or his company who could have their ar*es sued across the courts were they found to have not acted in the best interests of the creditors who include....my mate Balu!
