I don't know too much about what goes on as I'm in exile up here but I know from a friend who is a head teacher locally that Adam Lallana and Danny Fox gave up a whole afternoon to make one pupil (but in doing so probably won over the entire school as future Saints fans) very happy. They were touched by the story (sent by the HT) and volunteered to come, brought souvenirs and Saints memorabilia and signed autographs, balls for the school fete and won over staff and kids alike. There are reasons why I can't mention the school but it's the only direct experience that I know of and I felt really good that players from my club represented it in this way.

I can personally vouch for the fact that the Reading pies cannot compete with the egg-chucking, whippet fanciers' offerings.

Had to get a Block 1 ticket for two together when ordering last week - it must be close to a sell-out surely? Given what's said about Reading fans (I have no opinion on them) would we be expecting them to sell out with all those big shopping centres that they have nearby to compete at this time of year.?

I've been lucky enough to see a few of the ones mentioned so far but for me August 1969 beating United 4-1 at Old Trafford is right there...they had all the legends out, had won the European cup and we psst on them. I got punched outside too for being a p*ss-taking, gobby teenager too far away from our own supporters but nothing will ever detract from how good that day felt...still rub it in to my plastic mates along with wee Bobby's moment! More recently being able to share a cup final win with my son at Wembley, fantastic day....Coventry last year felt like my feet weren't touching the pitch as I ran on like a kid, the noise at Camara's goal was the time when my ears physically hurt with the noise...the voice was knackered for weeks after. The 3-0 against the skates was pretty special too :-) So many good times to counter the down 'moments'!

Looked assured..as said not many crosses to test him but thought the 'lesser' youngsters did well, him exceptionally so.

A treasured memory from the JPT is of him having a toddler style kicking and punching the ground tantrum at not getting a free kick as we swept up the field for Papa Waigo to score that last minute equaliser...it's on youtube somewhere but happened just in front of us - comedy and karma at St Mary's...who'd have thought it?
