A good point, well made! I've never supported Saints because I thought they were likely to win trophies - the successes we've had have probably tasted much sweeter because of that.

The only 'person' I've ever called out as a skate is the same illiterate, unfunny clunt you name - as I've said before - were 'he' to spout these opinions in a Saints pub rather than anonymously from a desk in Benefits Street the results would be a physical manifestation of the verbal battering 'he' takes here..but it could be argued that skates are for battering. NB Skate not scouser...although initials fit nicely with Benefits Street so I understand the connection (yes it was Brum but artistic licence etc) Skates are also bound to disagree on a forum belonging to the opposition when their life-work is to post massively negative drivel against their main rival...see it for what is is Bear...if it writes like a skate, whinges like a skate it probably smells like a skate ...then there's a good chance it's going to be a blatant skate...oh - there goes that acronym again!

There's no place on this thread for Saints icons to be quoted talking realistically....

Some great contenders but impossible to see beyond Lallana...he's been consistently outstanding, his game and captaincy have matured immensely. Given those who would also make superb winners in this team that's quite an accolade!

Really sad for him, in the form of his career but he's young and must be incredibly fit so he has time on his side. Also didn't try to walk on it and was immobilised instantly...looking for plus points isn't easy!

Pleased for Pearson and Hammond, pleased for us...we've been a bit of a jinx team for them over the years

I'm mildly amused that one of our home produced teenagers (in fact take your pick from several) is worth more than their entire cesspit of a club! Shalala lala etc

I watch a lot of football on telly and find myself thinking more and more how enjoyable we are to watch. I accept that my bias is entrenched but I have also been a little embarrassed at the quality of our football at a couple of junctures..Branfoot era, alehouse brawlers accusation maybe but most teams don't play as nice football as we do. And yes, it does count whether we win or not..I'm illogically proud of this team, more so for the fact that it's come through the divisions and so much is home produced....and I really don't care how many trophies anybody else has won!

Sorry, I was assuming a basic level of education existed but my happy and optimistic nature led me to over-estimate yours, apparently. Now off you go to adult reading classes skatey, they're free if you're on benefits!
