I understand the preference for believing those that you know whether on a board or not but it's not really credible to post it as 'fact' when that can't be proven - that would be my issue with egg's post and others of a similar nature. I love a rumour as much as anyone but so many turn out to be complete fabrication that it's hardly surprising that the credibility is questionable, hence it's entirely legitimate to ask for a source...isn't it?

I have no axe to grind either way, I thought that Cortese did a great job in fulfilling Markus Liebherr's declared vision. If he did it in a way that was not acceptable to the new owner then he's an employee and is as expendable as any of us. I'm gratified that we now seem to have an owner who is prepared to re-commit the money received on quality replacements..both in management and playing staff. When I see figures published then there is a point to discuss - when they are thrown out without any kind of proof source I tend to be dubious until I see it - is that not logical?

Good thread - I can't be a*sed to trawl back over some of the sad cr*p that's been posted to make so many of negative t*ssers, pseudo ITKs, doom portends etc read their own drivel but I'm happy that some do! Carry on please...:-)

Probably ranks alongside Ron Davies for me as a signing that became a legend in what he helped the club achieve...no hard feelings for him at Liverpool - he keeps his legend status in my book!

I believe that contracts would be far more enforceable if players were made to buy out their own contract in addition to the fee paid by a purchasing club (a bit like we're led to believe Pochettino did). In essence it will make little difference if a big club wants the player enough as they'll add it in to the new contract but it may lead to a little more cold, hard thought before jumping on to the media/agent/Twitter bandwagon to engineer a move. They'd have to be very sure the millions (in some cases) were covered. If he really is refusing to train then the club should have the right to withhold wages - what happens to mere mortals if they refuse to work? This should also be contractual...and no club should be allowed to sign a player in these circumstances. Yep, I've been drinking..or dreaming..or something - just p*sses me off how the 'owner' of a contracted employee gets the sh*t end of the stick every time! And yes - I'm sure we're as bad with other clubs but I'm blind to that...Levy needs a massive V sign from Us.

I got a silly cheap Chinese dual Sim phone for about £15 delivered...plastic, tinny but works beautifully on pay as you go SIMs from EE and Vodafone (my main contract is with 02...this was for those places it didn't work...good experiment) - came from cellphoneshop.net and shipped from China. Wouldn't want it as a main phone but ideal for my purpose.

I don't think Osvaldo see his future here although his options are likely to be limited given his goal-scoring and behavioural record recently. I agree his talent deserves a chance but his head has got to want it too.
