Which club is better: Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, or Swansea
dronskisaint replied to Redslo's topic in The Saints
Bit too subtle for this board...Saints are the bestest, Liverpool are the Scousest, Spuds are the unpleasantest and Swansea are just Welsh! Next question? -
CONFIRMED: Saints sign Juanmi on four-year deal
dronskisaint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Pleased with that, seems like the right sort of player for us in age, attitude - welcome Juan! NB Get used to **** taking about our name! -
Both but Pelle if only allowed one....much more important to our style of play than is often credited.

'The toilets are being completely gutted, back to breeze block, with new toilets, new doors, suspended ceilings with lights and given the Pompey brand' Surely toilet is the P*mpey brand!?

I agree with Wes...best season, particularly after the close season, that we've ever had inspires confidence in the management. He heads it - good news!

Define squeeze? Club gives supporters who can't justify or afford a season ticket a chance to choose to move up the queue by paying a relatively nominal amount that boosts club coffers and you deride it? Hmm..box, sharpest, tool etc

My first thought as well! Love that it's winding the unwashed up so much....

I chuckled

Big part of a great story....wish him the very best wherever he goes (there's an almost in there but he wouldn't!! :-)) Thanks Jos!

Goalkeepers- Forster-8 - Been the commanding figure we've lacked Davis- 7 - Not really done anything wrong when called on and some great stops Gazzaniga-6 - Unconvinced but feel the coaches must see something I don't...seems fragile on confidence Defenders Clyne- 8 - Even when he didn't hit his top form was class, really like him to stay Fonte- 9 - Been a revelation, continues to lead and dominate...would have been 10 if he'd scored this year! Toby- 9 - Pure class and intelligent enough to form partnership with Jose pretty much instantly Yoshida- 7 - Pleased we have signed him on longer term, never let us down..an excellent back up who would get in many teams Gardos- 6 - Jury's out a bit, for me, but some good skills for a tall lad and the type of player who will benefit from our coaching Bertrand-9 Consistently good all season, we haven't missed Shaw at all. Targett - 7 Not put a foot wrong when he has played, seen a fair few U21 games and he's a likely successor to Bertrand Midfielders- Davis- 7 - Possibly not as consistent as last year and his shooting has cost us points but we generally play better when he's in the side Wanyama- 7 - Started the season looking world class but faded a bit latterly, still young and will improve Reed-6 - Still a work in progress but getting there - hell of an engine and looked good in the U21s, silly red aside. Great prospect JWP-7- Started to look the player we're told he is in the last few games. Struggled to find his best position and a bit one paced but improving..rated by coaches so.... Morgan-9- Would love him to stay, gives us a different dimension with his long passing ability. Will go, probably, but with my gratitude Tadic-8 - Started so well that we didn't miss Lallana at all - faded, maybe due to injury in the latter half but seems to be able to do it in the PL Djuricic-6- Someone said another Gaston and maybe rightly...does have the ability to produce something different and of the two I'd sell Ramirez.. Attackers- Pelle-8 - Great first season...even Ron Davies had dry spells.. but his general link play and willingness to go where it hurts make him invaluable. Unfairly criticised on here... Mane-9 - Find of the season! Raw, certainly, Papa Waigo 2 -why not? Blistering pace with real ability and an eye for a goal..will only improve - top scorer next year? Long-7 - Team player who has done what has been asked of him...has the skills as seen recently - we should ignore the price tag and appreciate the player! Ellia-5 - Not really seen enough quality to warrant signing permanently, obviously has ability but not PL suited. We've got a few youngsters knocking on the door in addition to these, looking forward to seeing Hesketh, Gape, McQueen, Seager, Gallagher and Isgrove...possibly Josh Sims challenging for places - I've enjoyed watching them progress and there are others too. A good season, very nearly an outstanding season...we are a well-run, fun to watch club...I'm as happy-clappy as I'm ever likely to be...and there are still cups to win!

Good summary to which I would add - he spent millions on the players to keep them up the year before and when that failed they became 'Championship Players'..that he couldn't motivate or blend despite them costing way more than Burnley's or Leicester!! The twunt never takes responsibility for the colossal failures - and this is another one - If it were not for Fernandes QPR would be nearly as big a casualty as our fish-fondling neighbours to the East.

Our On-the-Beach mentality is a f**king disgrace
dronskisaint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Is it bedwetter-o-clock already? We're 7th, best points tally ever, got beaten by a team who played better and wanted it more than we did on the day. That description has largely applied to us this season for more games than it hasn't. Now go change the sheets! -
For Factless two sentences constitutes a book!

From memory (and there's a lot of pages to remember now :-)) it was about six times this amount...P*mpeymaths, 4% of, bestest b*ll**** etc

Some really good points made all through -I love the commitment to future growth being paramount over loans to shareholders.

Playing our way in gradually but they're a big, quick side pressing everything. 1-0 HT

Stability and the skates should not be used in the same sentence surely whether talking about financial, mental, familial, footballing - the only stability comes when the wreck settles on the sea bed (or the bottom for any skates reading!).

Agree ...hated his hand wringing histrionics when he missed chances as well - doesn't feel a good fit to me.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
dronskisaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So now he's going to have to produce it as VW has categorically denied saying it. Odds on that happening.......? -

It's the Sun ffs....have you ever heard Vic form sentences like that? -
Part of my early-days supporting memories...truly uncompromising - sad news! My condolences to family and friends

Oh please get Redknapp in, please, please please...page 3000 here we would come! Spiritual home, no money, a*se end of the league so deserving of where he should be...if only, won't happen because he's got a bad knee!

Lambertesque...lovely if we had a penalty taker who pretty much guaranteed a goal - could it be JWP?

Like!
