  1. Just flagging it up for fellow East Anglian exiles...kick off 7pm I'll be there...Saints scarf should do the identification - anyone else going?
  2. And watch him become the player that he is projected to be for someone else? I think that there is a tendency amongst supporters generally (not just us) to take what we have for granted and undervalue our home produced players through familiarity unless they make a Luke Shaw style instant impact.
  3. Bit of a poster boy for Saints, has red and white flowing through his veins despite his geographical disadvantaged birthplace! :-)
  4. Better judges than can be found on here have been rating him as a future Saints and England star...and by better I mean that they have visibility of his daily/yearly development based on more than his introduction and subsequent performances in the PL that we see. I know he appears lightweight and a little slow at times but he appears to have a good football brain, good skill level so I'm a little surprised at the criticisms....particularly given his on-going commitment.
  5. The 365 day a year season...Suicidal Alpine Depressive?
  6. Just No!
  7. Jeez - where did he grow up?? Must be grimmer oop North than I thought! Even Syrian refugees take one look and ask to go back home!!
  8. Oooh - is that a precedent I see before me?? Athletics strips cheats of medals, titles (perhaps not the best day to cite that!)....could Cardiff be awarded a cup win by default? Funny thought rather than reality but this thread is about laughing at them these days...the turd has proved unflushable thus far :-) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34771999
  9. LOL...think it was Pelle but yes :-)
  10. You'd get crucified for suggesting that...!
  11. So did Mick Channon..but with a Wiltshire burr - happy if JWP turns out as well :-)
  12. Had the chance to take a look at our Under 18s today at Norwich (only 20 miles from me) so Plonko and myself nipped up to Colney and saw an entertaining game that we really should have won comfortably. I've been encouraged a few times this season by the way our U21 team plays in a very similar style to the first team and was similarly encouraged by the youngsters today, they move the ball quickly and press high to regain possession - the ball winning prowess of our attack today was particularly impressive and the only disappointment was that our superiority didn't manifest itself in goals.'Fela Olomola could, probably should, have scored several on the chances created but looks a real prospect if he can improve on his accuracy.. wasn't far away today but will kick himself for a couple of easy chances missed. Elsewhere Callum Slattery looked classy, I was impressed by Richard Bakary at RB...apart from the throws...3 foul throws (actually 2 but the linesman was on a mission) ..really!? The central defenders O'Connor and Rowthorn looked assured and composed on the ball and the goalkeeper lad we signed from Shrewsbury, Harry Lewis, never stopped directing, informing and encouraging the players in front of him..it was good to see as was the general spirit of fighting for and supporting each other. Can't help feeling that our way of playing and the ethos..the 'Southampton way' is in good hands! Met some other supporters up from the South - father of one of the CBs and a couple of friends - nice to meet you guys, respect for the miles covered following the team!
  13. What he said..excellent service by the club!
  14. Plus he's not really good enough for us;)..
  15. I'm surprised Jake Hesketh isn't mentioned there, he's developing in to a really dangerous, creative midfielder...probably needs a few pounds of muscle but beautiful skills.
  16. I think he meant as a chip shop might do...the danger of attending a skate gathering!!
  17. True but the end result is the same...hoping it will be joyously academic anyway!
  18. The minimum eh...well they're out of the Johnstones Paint trophy, out of the League Cup so I'm guessing that leaves FA Cup there for the maximum.....
  19. Pretty average crowd all fancy dressed up as blue seats ... bound to look better that way:D
  20. Ah - a nostalgic trip back to page 698 -I enjoyed that! I guess time had dulled the memory as to how thick PFC123 was, how Ho still proclaimed that there was greatness ahead for them, that charities and businesses would get paid..and f**k me there's a post from Mack (Hi Mack!) that is grammatically ok, spelled correctly...I suspect a ringer...and not of the evil-smelling, tw*t-hatted variety! Five years on, karma tastes as sweet and smells as wonderful as their festering fat-ridden smells putrid. Long may the comedy continue!! :-)
  21. I chuckled
  22. Different club though, multi-admins back...tell me what is the fourth division like? We've never been there!
  23. Ah...so putting it in bold makes it all the more plausible then He wears a Saints shirt, he has quality - as long as these criteria (actually only the first really) are there he will get my complete support..look up supporter in the dictionary?!
  24. Top bloke, completely earned and deserved that award....he is one of us!!
  25. Future looking bright...I enjoyed that
