Picture of Westwood in Soton Art Gallery vandalised!

Weekend task is to print off a few copies of the original for dartboards, toilet paper, one on the ground to invite anyone who needs a **** to feel free...the possibilities are endless. Tw*t -
Great to read - thanks for taking the time & for growing the good feeling that I've had still further.

Sad news indeed - please pass on another fan's condolences on his loss. So many memories of someone who has never been bettered in the art of 'hanging' in the air to head the ball...usually goalward - 'Sha-la-la-la Ron Davies' is the chant I remember to the tune of the Manfred Mann song.

Claridge is a kn*b. His monotone grates as does his 'stating the bl**ding obvious' comments - of course his heritage isn't going to endear him to many here! The thing that irritates me more is that it is patently shown as a down market version of MOTD - cheaper set, lesser known presenters, poorer coverage. To be honest a Saints supporting blonde (if true) is an enhancement to the whole set up. Yes....& where was RL's hafway line effort?!!

Wai-Go...Wai-ai-ai-go - daylight come & he want to score goals To the tune of 'Daylight come & I want to go home' from the early sixties...yes I remember!

'I must be the only one then that thinks Harding plays the left back role in a similar fashion to another England possible (I think he got a couple of caps though) and that is Derek Statham.' Good comparison...from the little I've seen he has the same calmness & positional sense & desire to go forward....not seen evidence yet of the shot Statham had in his repertoire.

About right for a Wednesday shirt! BTW Sanderson also sponsored Sheff Wed...

All the best to Big Ron - he was a huge part of our early spell in the top league & an idol to many. Hope all works out with his wife - may their god go with them.

Trouble is he stands like a statue....

Only if the sewer is already taken:D

Me too on dates & age - although the 470 mile round trip restricts my attendance to around ten home games a year. Took my lad at 8 to see us whup Norwich in August '89....put him off them which is good because that's close to where we ended up living!

Be wary too of goods that would need a CE mark over here - electrical being one example. C & E have the power to confiscate with no restitution unless you can get it from the seller.

My question is why the animosity to J Bizzle, he has an opinion, a few people seem to be incinuating (sp) that his opinion is not valid due to his personal views/background Because this fixation with Gillet seems both personal & lacking in cogent reason...the entire premise seems to be that he played a game against him. This has been followed by increasingly desperate attempts to claim some kind of credibility for his opinions even to claiming that he's nearly as qualified as Pardew to make such judgements & gaining an inflated mark in a history exam. Like you & most of us I am going to agree & disagree on most things in football/life/the universe but the animosity that Bizzle has created is of his own making - the impression (again I can only speak for me) is more of a spoilt child's tantrum or a woman scorned than a reasoned argument.

Actually why don't you just get your daddy to drive you up there & not worry your 84% head about our better players...I expect you're learning to drive with Jenson Button too....?

Players develop at different speeds & levels - I see enough in Gillet to make me really happy that he's still at the club. To do the cliches - he has a great engine, he never gives up & though small he tackles above his weight. those who single out his p[assing must look with rose coloured specs at his team mates...the difference last year certainly was that if he gave it away he immediately tried to win it back. I enjoyed our football most last year most when he, Surman & Cork were playing in their favoured positions - how I wish that combination could have been allowed to mature. I hope he gets another run in the team...given a confidence boosting run in the team I can see him blossoming in to a real leader - I hope he'll complement Hammond in a midfield with tenacity, energy & skill. I've played (decades ago)with & against various players who became professionals but I don't think that gives me any greater insight on their capacity to be anything other than they were on that field on that day so I think that the argument Bizzle is using is pretty flawed...we're all experts in our own minds & at pre-twenty years old there's a lot of insight still to be learnt that comes from years of watching & comparing...so please don't try to buy credibility with that rationale...thank you:-)

Is that all you got...? In Essex a pint usually would get you the works & a cooked breakfast in the morning!
