I thought he had looked good when they played us & was surprised that he was so easy to sign albeit on a 'to end of contract' basis. My Norwich supporting staff were quite dismissive of him & one expressed delight that he'd gone. That's one sad b*gger this morning then (they're lucky I'm at a show in NEC for the week but phone abuse has been nearly as good!).On saturday I wrote in my brief summary that I thought he was good despite being subjected to abuse from the peasants...linked well with Puncheon, quick to get forward & back...didn't really put a foot wrong. I get the impression he'll enjoy our style of football & it will be good to have a genuine right back in his prime to go forward with. Not knocking Lloydy (going to be good for us in the future in midfield) or Thomas but don't think either would have complemented the side in the way Semi did on Saturday.

Let's face it you're not going to part with money if you do see the books...they're still dying slowly & painfully

Oh good grief - try selling what you're smoking/drinking!! Delusion juice, make the world go awaybaccy...there's a small market amongst your small minded, small genitalled, small in number crowd but sh*t, they'll feel better once what's left of their tiny minds are addled with the cr*p you've jus spouted! Just run along & die painfully...there's a good deluded (small) 'supporters' group! Your last chance to see your bankrupt excuse for a club & you can't even fill your ground...I p*ss on your grave!

Does today's excellent performance and result prove..

No ...& I'm sure NC would think it was a stupid statement...lighten up, take some positives out of life! -
Just back from the game (easy one for me!) Where to start - number one this is the first time due to cup tied players etc that Pardew's first choice team have been able to start & what a TEAM they looked. We were awesome today...Norwich didn't have an off day - they played as well as they were allowed to - we were that good. Kelvin - did well when troubled & gave us the laugh of the game when leaving the ball behind when wasting a bit of time...comedy moment probably worth the booking. Harding - Excellent both in attack & defence Jaidi - Immense...didn't put a foot wrong...made Martin look very ordinary Fonte -Imperious - He can make the difference to our run in, the missing link. Absolutely in control & calm as you like. Ostemebor - Great game..linked well with Puncheon & Morgan/Hammond. Took some stick from the wurzels & answered in the best possible way.On this showing a good addition. Lallana - worked his socks off...always available & so unlucky with the shots that came off the post. Morgan - playing with this midfield allowed him top play his game...very controlled, just wish he'd score the first then more will come. Hammond - Real captain's game...harried everything, drove his team, put himself in where it hurt. Puncheon - My first sight in a Saints shirt...very assured, brought a fluency to the right & his two-footedness gave us options & Norwich the sh*ts. Predict he will be a very good signing Ricky - What can you say? Won more balls in the air again than he was entitled to, linked well with everyone...this is why TEAM is in capital letters at the start. Signs of developing a good understanding with Barnard & that free kick.....! Barnard - Ever willing in the matches I've seen him in & today it went for him...will score many more with the benefit of this team playing around him & supplying the chances. Pleased for him! And the fans...loud, humorous...well done to all there. Much P*mp*y **** taking but a new one for me after the second went in ' And we've still got Waigo on the bench' Classic - happy to have been there, happy with our prospects. I've said it's a big ask for the play-offs but with this, our strongest team, I think the big answer could be there!

Or without the Storrie spin - minus 88%

Liquidation & Administration - Definitions help please? A short while ago I thought I knew the difference but so many people (inc the 'experts' on the R5 programme last night) are talking about administration & a nine point penalty as an option still available. My understanding is/was that going voluntarily in to administration is no longer an option now that the SofA has been requested & the only people who could grant that would now be the court - & only then if they could find an administrator to take it on. The latter would not be necessarily or be likely to be attractive to a company as there is very little to negotiate with i.e. no money to be made. The other understanding was/is that if(!) they are trading insolvently & have no immediate prospect of being able to 1) pay existing debts & 2) prove that they will be able to in the future then liquidation would be the only recourse. Liquidation means as I do/did understand it just that. The company is dissolved there & then & any assets divided amongst the creditors. This doesn't mean acceptin 'x' point deductions, relegation etc - it means/meant gone, dead, kaput, expunged... So why does the administration option keep being mooted? Please (nicely) can someone within the profession clarify this?

You're pretty much right about a lot of our circumstances at the time - I know I, in common with many other posters, felt uncomfortable about the 'different company' loophole. I didn't find this forum until we were already in deep po* but I remember being surprised at the gloating invective being hurled from the eastern side of Hampshire...not because of the content but because they had registered on a Saints forum. To me this would be like donning a codsnogger shirt...would leave me feeling unclean! That being said are you surprised given that context that you are getting back the same...& with interest? The extra (15k & rising posts on this thread alone) is because we have a bigger fan base, a genuinely high quality of both humour & investigative comment & a stable infrastructure from which to lob back the sh*t we got from your morons...please note I don't include everyone who posts here unless it's more fun to do so - that's what sweeping generalisation is for! If you don't like the comments you're reading (although I'm sure many have informed you far more than you could expect from any of your own sources) then can I respectfully suggest that you 'do one' back to your own?

Best not be more than two letters then...QD? Bit of a misuse of th acronym for quality but spellable & possibly write-able with another generation of evolution & less fingers:D

You had the choice not to watch just as you (boringly reiterate) you have the choice to comment at will....your response only reflects on your bad choice & not the content. I don't usually get personal but ffs there's a limit to how much rhymes-with-banker comment on one subject that can be taken. Why don't you start an anti MLT forum...there's a positive step?

PS You still smell of fish

Stelios has more sense & struggling to make money on the business he has in the current climate.

Interesting too that in a lot of the figures that constantly get updated I can't recall seeing that ANOTHER £3 million is owed to agents on top of everything else...perhaps someone can update the overall creditor picture?
-
In partnership with Saggy the twitch they should be charged with gang rape....an interesting concept given how they could end up in the same nick!
-
Mormonic...there's a thought! Probably a religious excuse for trousering 10% of all transfer fees...which makes Bagpuss a convert?
-
Goalie asks -'Do we know if Storrie is Jewish?' Unsure but if moronic is a religion.....

Isn't the thread title build UP!? I deplore the negativity displayed here...you know who you are. Of course we may always get beaten but we've played two cracking 2-2 draws with them this season & never looked outclassed...the league match we should have won in 90 minutes & we've strengthened the side since, only lost once in 2010 (can't remember who it was it was that important!). Those knocking Papa Waigo...count the 'kin goals he has scored against Norwich this season...worth his place on bench or pitch whatever suits our management's plans on the day because they'll be sh*t scared he'll do them again! No predictions from me on score but they aren't a lot better than we are...nor were Leeds, nor were er, er that other team whose significance leads me to reject their name. This is not being happy-clappy - more glass half full & appreciating the talent we have at our disposal - well capable of getting something from this game!

Tim I've usually got a lot of time for your views & that doesn't change. On this occasion however I think that the statistics that you use to 'prove' your point can be applied to the majority of clubs in the leagues. You could validly argue that the ones that don't come in to this category are occupying the top positions in those leagues but to use Saturday's match to try & legitimise your position is just plain wrong...in all senses of the word. Statistics are too easy to use in the overall picture paricularly given how far we've come & where from but that's another discussion. I watched a team from the lower leagues outplay a team of full internationals for the majority of the game. On another day a keeper less inspired than England's probable number one would have seen three go in before they had a shot of note. Our mixture of promise, good CC league players & experienced but ageing professionals were more than a match until we started to chase the game...better described in St Marcos post. Once their second goal went in we were chasing the game & the difference in experience &, in most cases, class told & we were caught out...in my opinion this has nothing to do with your main contention & is insulting to the team & the guys (me included) who went, applauded, sang our hearts out for a team who gave everything on the day. By all means throw the question in but please...it has no place this close to this match.

As I read it they would be: 1) In contempt of court 2) Judged to be insolvent & wound up as of then.

Fit & proper bankrupt fugitive test passed for the PL

Been eaten:) Edit...same thought...slower reader :-)

The police usually direct away coaches to The Rushcutters about a mile away towards Thorpe St Andrew...safety in numbers but bear in mind that they still point at cars round here so agression is saved for wellie hurling & dwile flonking! For those in cars it takes me from about 3 hours 20 when quiet to 4'ish on a working day when I come down (most home match weekends) - you can knock 20-30 mins off that because that's how far I am t'other side of Sparrow Road. Not far compared with Hartlepool, Carlisle etc.
-
Well - a moderner & smarter version perhaps!
-
'What a ****-poor, desperate attempt to take away our entire history!' Er - I think you'll find that a combination of a fairy Storrie featuring Bagpuss, Ali ha-ha & working up to at least forty thieves are doing fine at that by themselves...albeit aided & finally abetted by the HMRC. It's only a ten year history anyway...why bother about it? AFC Liquidation Cycle next time round?
-
Local for me too but picked up my tickets at the weekend...I agree that they're the best team we've played this year (saw both matches) & it's indisputable that they're on a phenomenal run but they lost at Milwall & got out of jail at Brighton at the weekend. They also see us as their jinx team...I've got a couple of Cafairy ST holders working for me & they were terrified earlier in the season that they'd get us in the play-offs but mumbo jumbo aside we have a team that can match or better theirs - I hope it's this one that turns up or I'll have a miserable Monday! Their supporters clap loudly too...it's the extra finger!
