Does it rhyme with the sort of boat that posh people push with a pole on the River Cam? I hope so:mad:

Get real! A million pounds for a slow turning cruncher at the wrong end of his career. Not even as a free...would stink the place out anyway

We got Mark Fry (& a reputable company) because there were tangible assets, a realistic prospect of the club being able to compete at a sensible level & be at least self-sustaining. Count the stadium (almost new) amongst the assets & we were a viable proposition. The administrator had something to sell & a prospect of being paid from the proceeds. This took the time it did & history records that we attracted a well-funded businessman who saw genuine value but we know how long it took & the angst that went with it...not to mention that we had been looking for a buyer for at least two years before administration made it compulsory. Against this I give you the train wreck down the road...the only reason they got even the discredited Android was that Chanrai has guaranteed to cover the cost of admin & he's what you get at the sh*t end of the market! I still find it hard to believe that they will find a buyer & without one there is no next season...he chuckled!

I would be incredibly sorry if he did go. He has brought in good players, instilled both pride & a strong mentality in to the team, improved fitness levels & has a team that can & frequently does play ayttractive football. This has produced bigger gates & higher expectation levels from crowd to board level (I suspect in the case of the latter) but while last night I walked away from the ground feeling sad that the dream of going up (despite everything) this year logic kicked in & I realise we are on the brink of something even more special. Let's briefly recap...we've been relegated, in admin & ownerless. We've faced oblivion...the unthinkable yet I've just enjoyed a season of hope that included winning the JPT - as a Prem supporter I'd have taken the p*ss but that meant something & I had a fantastic day at Wembley & we were on track again as winners...important word - winners. We have been incredibly fortunate in being bought by a businessman who, in partnership with all...I stress all...his management team are committed to building a club structure that is capable of competing with the best - the latest addition Les reed is a further reinforcement of his conviction that this can be done. I hope & don't believe that they would do this without confidence in the manager - they are good business men & (we are lucky again) have the funds to support the club while the plan becomes reality. We have great owners, excellent management & a squad that will provide an excellent challenge for the title next year. They, in turn, have a growing & largely appreciative set of fans who I'm proud to have been part of this year - my own pride & enjoyment have been restored this year in a way that I never could have predicted, The whole set up is the reason for this - let's keep the whole set up in place & go up as Champions next year!

Comedy kudos on the name but I think Seaborne improves every game he plays alongside Fonte - another reason to keep him here.

'The Dell Classics' DVD's. Any further ideas for new ones?

The 4-1 win against Forest when they were European Champions & Shilton played for them. Bally & Boyer just shredded them ...happy day! -
Le Tiss is a god....you can't have too many on this earth at any one time. Ricky is building up to be a legend & I love the bloke (but nhot gheyly) & is one of the best players in this league & probably will be in the Championship. I agree that Matt is right up there with Best, Cruyff, Maradona when it comes to sublime talent...we were so lucky to have him play for us

Thank you...I tried to but failed - hope your cat recovers from the kicking!

Gretna of the south...without any sympathy factor! Bought success, went bust.

On the OS Fantastic statement of intent & not any sort of conflict with AP at all. I chuckled at the description of Staplewood facilities being dated...they are state of the art compared with many - & of course there's one club somewhere down market that doesn't even have a training facility! Markus, Nicola - I salute your intent!!!

I got as far as choose your favourite player & the only one offered was Saga...so I thought sod it, I love your competition but I don't need your site:)

His mother/sister/wife....same person!

Articulate analysis it's called ....20 odd thousand pages of taking the p*ss out of the fall &, undoubtedly some time soon, extinction of your geographic neighbours who delighted in our demise however diminuitive it now appears alongside the debacle that is your 'club'. Surely a shrink would be needed to explain why you wouldn't want to revel in it? Now f*ck off back to your own cesspit of a board:lol:

Yes - you could put your theories to him about his perceived lack of ambition to him direct...should do wonders for neighbourly relations?!

As employers we regularly advance money to employees against future earnings - often for just this sort of sum & reason. As long as you have holiday entitlement due the money is reasonably guaranteed to the employer it only entails a little trust & builds a good working relationship both ways. Why not ask? Typically we deduct from the salary over two to three months depending on amount & circumstances.

No - I still think that it is possible. There is nothing within the club or it's portfolio that a reputable or even sane businessman would throw any money at so the only escape route to getting out of administration would logically be blocked. I don't know how long it is possible to spin out an administration period without a reasonable prospect of finding a buyer? The longer it goes on the more Chanrai must surely have to put in to support the day to day running of the club - there must come a point when it will just be adding to his debt without increasing the chance of recovering his investment...little has been said about the interest on this £15 million pounds. 'Toxic' loans are usually only offered at a considerable premium & I suspect that a few million could already have been added to that figure (this may be being used to inflate the figure to beyond the level at which HMRC can exercise their 25% block...I'd question the legality of this whilst in administration). In his position it would be a better business decision to walk away than to pay out further. As the period goes on further facts will emerge as to criminal activities regarding the running of the company - it is already beyond doubt that they have been trading knowingly insolvently for a period that is beyond a short term funding issue. Within that period they have continued to add to their debt by investing in players that they knew they could not afford & have deliberately witheld statutory payment to the government whilst paying shareholders above all other creditors. You'll note that the criminal activities I have mentioned relate only to normal corporate governance - there may well be issues thrown up by an ongoing investigation in to their affairs that some of the conspiracy theories have suggested. As forensic investigation in to the accounts continues I find it hard to believe that either Companies House (notwithstanding the HMRC) could find that PFC is a sustainable entity & in the absence of a buyer (see above) would issue a winding up order. Perhaps one of our posters within the administration industry could correct me if any of the above is factually incorrect - as I've said before I'm just a run of the mill businessman rather than qualified in any of the liquidation-related industries. Hence I'm in agreement with you GLT - if the company is not & cannot be solvent it could & should be liquidated.

I live 250 miles away, am a season ticket holder & often have to work 6 or 7 days a week (fortunately football-wise mostly in the simmer) so rely on a service that I've paid for (it doesn't even matter how much!) to keep me in touch. If I'd paid for the Pink to be sent & it didn't arrive should I not have complained? Kn*b!

A real shame they can't both lose...never particularly minded the spuds but Saggy the twitch is the epitome of everything that is bad in football & I'll never forgive him for taking us down & his 'My heart wasn't in it' comment about us...the clunt took the money didn't he?! Mods can I make a plea that his shifty, double-dealing, bung-taking boat race is never shown again without the word cheat next to it & certainly never near anything red & white? As for their opponents....dead soon anyway but another humiliation on the way won't go amiss - just see how many of their cheatingly assembled squad make miraculous recoveries today. Ptah!!

+1 You know what you're getting when you book ffs. This has nothing to do with the 'target'...he's a comedian who pushes boundaries & will cross them frequently. It seems that there are people go along to be offended & then talk to the press about it! The recently publicised joke about Rebecca Adlington was a case in point...she hadn't even seen the show but someone took it upon themselves to get offended on her behalf...& the observation that caused the 'offence? He compared her look to the image you get when you look in the back of a spoon. To me that's witty & original & I laughed at the time without a hint of feeling guilty for doing so. If you don't like boundary pushing humour, if you're easily offended just don't go...it's not difficult.
