One of the best quotes ever about Dowie...face like the smell of gas! Baboons a*se was one of the kinder (but still accurate) other descriptions Both my girlfriends of the era fancied Ruddock so I don't think he'd qualify but David Webb is a must surely! Face like a JCB bucket

Sorry to add a further question but surely to agee the CVA the creditors, including HMRC would have to agree that there is a realistic chance of the club/company continuing to trade at a level where the repayments were sustainable. Surely the fact that this is quite plainly not the case or certainly could not be guaranteed would be a valid reason for declining the CVA?

'Im not putting us in the same bracket as Barca (yet) but we're certainly heading in the right direction. ' Norwich away last year...just like watching Barcelona! :-)

And me!

Says he's gobsmacked...form an orderly queue! How he can have the neck to claim surprise with his record is beyond belief...pass the soap 'Arry - oh!
-
I had a bet with myself as to how many times I'd posted on this thread..allowed a bit & thought 30-50 times perhaps? This is 138 & I too need to get a life...also a reminder why I don't do betting! It will all be worth it if, as I still believe, they drop out of the league :-)
-
PS Inflatable ones are cr*p...they mash all the road grit etc in to your paintwork & I wouldn't travel more than a few hundred yards with them - and only then at low speed.
-
Guess you may be sorted by now but I've used Thule for a few decades transporting boats, sailboards & most recently kayaks & canoes in a business capacity & cannot fault them for fit or strength. Once you have the bars (I currently have the aerodynamic ones...still whistle but quieter) you only need to buy the feet when you change your car & this is less, of course.

Manager of what exactly? No guarantee there is going to be more than a pile of rubble surrounded by sobbing caravan folk... OK - still Claridge & Ince then :-)
-
I trust you also blocked the drains, p*ssed in the header tank, put cement down the bog & dead fish under the floorboards when you left? And overcharged him....

Benji wrote 'Kanu and Hreidarrson may stay if no one else wants them (possible IMO). The alternative is to retire. Those two are not going to get you out of the division though' I think you'll find that Hreidearrson (sp?) in particular has done a sterling job of getting his clubs out of their respective divisions....unfortunately (but only for them!:-)) he only has a 'down' button :-)
-
No, don't want or need him...for all the reasons stated above
-
Don't misunderstand me - I'd love to be wrong & see him back...I just think that with the Mail's record, the cash that he's on, the other clubs etc there are too many reasons why it won't happen.
-
1) It's the Mail ffs! 2) Never sure whether it's good to go back this close in the career 3) If he's available I'm sure there are Championship clubs that will jump at the chance of signing him. That all being said I think that he's a class player who has red & white blood running through his veins but I refer you to point 1) It's the Mail ffs!
-
Thanks - very enjoyable...agree re Papa's contribution.
-
I wish him well & he goes with my thanks for his professionalism &, in addition to his reading of the game, his attitude & 100% effort. I'm glad he got the run out at Wembley...a fitting thank you from us I think.

What the man said. The Echo is the company that needs to rethink it's policy...print media is having an increasingly tough time & management policies & stances that alienate a high percentage of the readership is not going to help. Perhaps the Echo could issue an apology for it's groundless stirring & offer an olive branch on the future...if SFC can trust them. It is they that have ground to make up so maybe the management needs changing (with tongue firmly in cheek but you get the implication!).
-
And why not? The Echo has undermined, sniped, speculated all to the detriment of the club. Any management change - or the change in focus - should be at the Echo...I know of many like me who no longer buy one in protest & withdrew my full page colour company advertising from the last Boat Show Special (it's the only one relevant to my business) in disgust at their behaviour. Excellent update from a focused team led by a chairman who doesn't waste time on idle gossip or let his head be turned by celebrity or craparazzi.
-
You're saying that was a tricky decision?!
-
If you dignify crap journalistic speculation with comment then you're down at their level. Our management shows no sign of stooping down that low, thank f*ck...business conducted in private is a breath of fresh air in a game where even moron administrators want to be celebrities...& I mean the profession not the site owners before I get infracted! :-)

I'm sorry I can't name the source but someone who is married to one of the footballing staff has a copy & has, with him, read it from cover to cover & is at a loss to see anything that could be construed as controversial in the editorial content. This lends credence to the theory (& it's fairly obvious by now that the Club are not going to comment officially) that it is a commercial issue that could have cost more to compensate than the loss of revenue created by the loss of sales & advertising revenue in one issue. I've never before posted as ITK & possibly will never again but in this instance I am 100%sure that what she has told me is accurate...interpretation is for this forum naturally - I've had my guess above.
