This...I couldn't inhabit the negative world of some posters. Whilst I'm sometimes in despair over performances, occasionally think I could have picked a better team than the one out there etc my fun is in supporting...if I knew how to underline I'd underline the words fun & supporting. End of sermon!

Have we forgotten so quickly one of the reasons we're in this league?! Far too many managerial changes in far too short a time...Lowe (& I'm not a habitual Lowe-basher, just thought he should not have returned) thought that you could fix things by changing the manager...result - instability, inconsistency & where we are now. The players need to know the way that they are striving to play is the same way that they've worked toward all last season & that it is a succesful formula. This was proved by the cup run & the small number of matches lost last year, Of course we should press on & make sure some of those draws are wins this time around & that will come if the squad are allowed to develop & the squad has quality added...think of those who were taking the money last year who aren't there now. Adding good players to a system that matured in to a feared & effective team last year is what will take us up this year. It's happening, it needs to be allowed to keep happening. I'm totally disbelieving of anyone who is writing us or AP off after one game of the season....it's just madness to call for a managerial change.

Perhaps one day you will.... On a more serious note the commercial arrangement that is being tried is not unusual in other sports - test cricket being the most high profile I would imagine. It may be that it's a step too far for a League one club but I applaude the initiative in trying - I'm sure there are other chairmen who would like to give it a try but lack the commercial balls of a businessman who is not hamstrung by convention. Certainly one of the lower priorities when assessing the result is what the Sun say...I don't suppose they ever print more than the few lines grudgingly spared for a non-PL club let alone print match photos. I may well be wrong - I wouldn't read the comic if it was bought for me so it's not a researched opinion.

If you're trying to be constructive in any argument it's logical not to start with destructive comments. If, however, you are trying to draw attention to yourself your approach is effective. This thread is so irrelevant to real life it doesn't really justify it's space & I've just wasted x seconds of my life that I won't get back pointing this out...sigh!
