  1. I was in 37 and heard the Itchen today for the first time in a while! On a more general point the Northam/Kingsland probably holds as many as some of the grounds we go to in this league and is generally excellent in comparison with the home support when I go to away matches. We'll have our work cut out next week at the soul-less Weston whatever it is stadium...the only atmosphere created last year was the fog that came down. We're pretty good overall but would love the voume and frequency to go up.
  2. Heard the sad news when the lads behind me in Block 37 said Dean Richards had died...think they got it from a sports site update on a phone. A classy, committed player for us - would love for him to have stayed but the money we got was outstanding in that era. Was good to hear and join in with the 'Only one Dean Richards' chant...I'm sure the club will honour his memory at a future match but yesterday was too soon. My thoughts, condolences & respects to his family
  3. Saw a sign yesterday that made me **** myself................. Toilet closed!
  4. It's for his CV...even if Skate make next season he sure as hell is looking to get out.....unles he's 'slowly falling in love' with Chanirai;)
  5. I think the appropriate word should be 'was' a Saints fan...taking his 'thrills in Bompey has accelerated his dementia it seems.
  6. The point about 'British' is well made...I think all the mass produced cars in this country are owned by foreign parent companies. As to the better ones...I've owned or driven (company cars) Ford, Vauxhall, Chrysler, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, VW, Mercedes, Toyota & Nissan and probably more. My last three choices have been Audis (A6, Allroad & another A6) - I find these to be of VW quality build but with a nicer interior & spec..which is what the extra money goes on. I've driven Ford Mondeos (aren't they made in Belgium?) in their various incarnations for about 300k miles and have nothing but praise for them...had a new one on hire & it felt similar to my Audi for motorway driving. I had Vauxhalls that I was less pleased with but generally reliable & practical...bits fell off the Peugeot & the Citroen but not the Renault surprisingly - the Toyota & Nissans were reliable but as dull as ditchwater to drive...I also found that I don't suit the Japaneese idea of seat comfort and the interiors were pretty uninspiring. I should say that this covers around 30 years of my 40 year driving life so many have undoubtedly improved. Back to the Brit question though...Aston Martin? I dream, Bristol? I'm not 80 yet...plenty of kit cars but it's not really possible to buy much that's pure UK designed and manufactured nowadays.
  7. 'Fuller was making it quite clear what he thought of us Saints fans' In what way?
  8. This Rodney had his best days at Leeds..Danny here
  9. Brian O'Neill!!
  10. Aren't we lucky to be able to be having this discussion? Any combination of two from three is a quality spine to our midfield...there will be some games when different pairings will work better. If Morgan could add goals to his game he'd be even better...and take the Chappers role alongside Deano if needed.
  11. I didn't know you got dinners if you were on benefits?!
  12. First time I've seen it - pure quality!!! I look forward to the 2011-12 remix with the Blue Square verse added:D
  13. Er - these are the points in contention:- Frannie Benali is suing Cortese for £50K for damage to his house and outstanding rent while Cortese was living there. Cortese charges employees for parking whilst they are at work. The club pays for Cortese's wife's manicures. The Liebherr family aren't interested in Saints and let Cortese do what he wants apart from spend too much money. Would you like to point out where Cortese has decided to do or say anything about them that wasn't in private? I'm not sure why I even posted this.....I have no agenda...you & the OP can't see beyond your own. I do like to see accuracy & honesty however so it stays.
  14. Would this be the motto by which you lead your life perhaps?
  15. With your opening declaration that you have a record of carefully checking facts..I'd underline that last word if I knew how - you should be wary of two words - Claims (when used as a verb) and hearsay. These words are not renowned for standing up to scrutiny in any court. Personally I will remember Franny for the way he was last Sunday night & for the service he gave us...I'm happy with the way the club is being run & I really could not care less about your knowledge of 'claims'. This really isn't personal to you...I didn't know that you had been infracted and it would make no difference if I'd noticed your or any other's departure...I really, really don't care about petty squabbles whether real or imagined, that have nothing to add to my enjoyment of supporting Saints. Thank you
  16. Bit of a drama queen post that resorts to insults by post three. In my opinion.... and I only discovered forums when we were having all our admin problems and joined everything I could to glean information......there are plenty of forums that cater for what you purport to be missing so it's not like your needs aren't catered for. Gradually I got sick of the others...ignorant skate posts seemed to be dominating one of them & the other was sporadic and a bit wet - again in my opinion - I occasionally still dip in to 606. This one I drop by several days a week - it can have me laughing out loud, genuinely...at some of the wit & humour..yours too on occasion, sighing with frustration but mostly it's the nearest thing I get to working with Saints fans as my work is based 200 odd miles away - for this I don't need it to carry the official badge, I'm not looking for agendas real or imagined - I just want to dip in & out of the 'conversations' I choose to. That's what constitutes a forum in my eyes. I don't really care about other forums..I've tried & rejected some others - I may go back and look and either stay or leave again. I'm not looking for one to suit my agenda - I don't have one but I'm sure thereare enough choices not to ask this one to change or accuse it of anything it doesn't set out to be. I'm a Saints fan..have been for 52 years & a long time before such forums as these existed so I've learnt that being a Saints fan is what actually matters - it became a possibility that I might not be able to be a couple of years ago (nearly) so forums are just take it or leave it peripherals. Can I suggest that maybe you should treat them as such as well?
  17. Webbered feet?
  18. Yaaaawn...Bournemouth nobody courts Echo 9or any effing) headlines.....
  19. I think the chilli pack is the one with the red hair dye amongst the hairdressing kit:D
  20. If it helps try to think of it as adiscount of £3 for not using that method.. Happy to help
  21. It's a superb service at £43...period
  22. If you want to buy a ticket then that's what it costs...my Peterborough tickets cost £43 & were delivered to Suffolk the next day - superb service. If I still lived around the SO code I'd either collect or get a mate to...it's a choice & I'm happy to have. If you don't like one method then there are the others - if you don't like any of them then you're at the wrong club!
  23. Hmmm yes - easy to get them mixed up!
  24. Nearly a minibus full.....oh! Been reposessed:lol:
  25. A home game for me is just under 500 miles round trip so with about half a dozen away matches as well I guess, when I get the chances I'd average around 7k per annum.
