  1. Good summary - more than a few things have changed since that game but most of all - belief.
  2. In light of Al Fayed's statue of Michael Jackson at Fulham, Arsenal have announced their intentions to unveil a statue of Bullseye legend Jim Bowen outside the Emirates with a plaque reading "Let's look at what you could have won"
  3. I was thinking about buying a Labrador....but so many people who own them seem to have problems with their eyes!
  4. Traditionally they're always a left wing club as well ... They've always hated fascists though.
  5. I think it's because it's phrased like an exam question....this just may be an alien concept or even a sore point perhaps? Barny...who'd not want him in their team? A bit petulant at times and prone to giving away free kicks in his enthusiasm ...and a bit ill-advised to celebrate that close to their fans but he had a sh*t time when he was there before and no doubt thought he'd underline the point that he (& we) benefitted from his getting out (via Sarfind).
  6. Teavellers is good...less skate-like!
  7. I phoned the ticket office yesterday and it's cash at the turnstile with up to 3000 capacity in the away end. Would be chuffed as hell if we can get 1000-1500 up there on a Tuesday night but it's probably the last away game that's not sold out so worth the effort...I'm looking forward to it!
  8. End of season decision for me but ain't it great there are so many contenders? Pick from Lallana, Jaidi, Fonte, currently but Harding, Barny, Ricky.......there are a few who could yet push us that extra bit to the Championship!
  9. Too many fouls from Barny!
  10. Until next year they undoubtedly get a better experience away than at that rec ground/allotment that they call home!
  11. Looking forward to this one - I've not been there before - just hoping the rugger-b*ggers don't F*ck up the pitch.
  12. Woooosh!
  13. 'I go to sleep' - The Pretenders...
  14. Was excellent here but that was then....
  15. Apparently utter morons shooting each other?
  16. A loan doesn't have to have a repayment date and it can always be transferred to shares to the value if it became necessary for either tax or, for example, UEFA regulations. It means that the club are debt free even if not making money - this will undoubtedly be written in to the business plan and will change according to future income streams (i.e. Championship & PL) with a contingency if this does not happen to the original timescale. It's a common way of buying and developing a business and allows the flexibility to adjust to the market conditions as they evolve. Please note the lack of sarcasm and an emphasis on the reality.
  17. Tories are much further to the right;) Seriously though...it took me about ten minutes as I've only one child still resident..just do it... And Dune...if you can't spell your native language definitely don't try to be clever?
  18. This thread is going to live longer than P*mpey...saw this on another website...laughed out loud! 'Best comment I saw last night was Spurs had nothing to worry about in the second leg because 'Arry's accountant would be keeping the score )'
  19. I can't believe we're talking about the same game?!? Tonight I saw us play some of the best football I've seen this season...nobody had a bad game and you call it inept? More water with it maybe...? Back at the hotel rather than a four hour drive for me tonight and feeling very positive about our form. Yes the injuries are worrying but we never looked anything other than in control tonight. Credit Charlton for trying to keep playing football and not kicking us up in the air...they aren't far off a reasonable team on tonight's showing. That said KD only had one difficult save as I recall and Jaidi and Fonte were immense. Dickson had his best game in a Saints shirt and looked quick and intelligent on and off the ball...Richardson didn't put a foot wrong - defence was excellent and Dickson, in particular, added pace and some great balls to the attack. I like the look of Stephens...he looks very composed and links simply and accurately - I hope he is not badly hurt. Again our overall game didn't suffer greatly when Chappie came on...not so tidy but did his usual harrying - it's the bursts forward that seem to have deserted his game recently but he played his part in an inventive midfield. Ricky & Barnie came up against a well-marshalled and disciplined defence but with Lallana, Guly and Dickson linking with them there are not many defences in this league that could have coped as well tonight! Very positive ongoing...there's a way to go yet but we can't do more than win our games. Crowd were brilliant tonight again (bar the minibus-load of Charlton fans - how few!?) some superb noise and good Northam/Kingsland banter. Feeling good about life - great game isn't it, footie?
  20. Actually Savage for being himself...I won't listen to 606 any more...self-obsessed, talentless girl-thug
  21. Fleck joined in the banter...I remember him cupping his ear when we were singing 'Costa Rica' after the Jocks got beaten by them in the world cup and laughing and applauding when he realised what was being sung. Didn't like the tw&t but he took it well.
  22. This = 100% clunt!!
  23. I'm not sure community service counts?
