Because Reed had sussed he was a two faced little sh*te?
-
Busy and neat - happy to see him in our starting line up. Seems to have lost the tendency to commit early in the tackle and linked really well...notable that Virgil talked to him constantly.
-
Like to try it in French?

Back home...nice and local for me for a change. Those who have said we played badly are wrong...we played neat, controlled football for most of the game and scored two excellent goals and were denied more by good goalkeeping and good defending. We were undone by a couple of errors...Harry Lewis can be excused to a degree but you've got to say that Virgil was probably the one responsible for marking Naismith...not sure how tactics can be blamed for the costliness of these. We should have won, we were by far the best team and will probably win the replay but the hysterical cr*p being spouted by the usual suspects on here is just just that...hysterical cr*p. We'll come through this bad patch like we've come through many before. Bring on Liverpool! Officials were awful...reminded me of our L1 days!

Southampton spokespeople in upbeat messages shocker!
-
Short trip for me today....Norwich fans I speak to aren't sure whether to be upbeat because they had a win or protest because they want the Mitchell brother out! Happy to see a mix of youth and first team...yokels know Redmond will score!! It's the law :-)

Block 39...right alongside the Northam - mostly because I can stand and sing and am very much part of the atmosphere. There are the moaners, of course, but can you imagine how anyone who spouted as much anti-Saints cr*p as they type on here would be treated?!

Oh really....!? My point is more aimed at all the 'expert', ITK, trolling and moronic posts on these and other forums that would give anyone the impression that they would be dealing with mugs. I put in another thread that the group around my season-ticket seat are without question more positive, loyal, understanding and knowledgeable about matches and the club in general than the impression you would gain from reading this, and similar, forums.
-
Possibly based on the evidence of the majority that's posted on football forums?

This thread resembles Lord of the Flies......pig is being chased to it's demise!
-
:toppa: A+ for analogical content!

I don't remember one poll let alone two and let's not forget that we had already had a good season under him. This second poll only really shows how knee-jerk a percentage of our supporters are in that it can swing from one 'conclusion' to another on the basis of a few days! We should probably also remember what a tiny percentage of Saints supporter base actually posts on here....and there's a very high (naturally...I understand the need for a connection for those who live away) percentage that don't attend matches - the atmosphere around where I stand at home matches (Block 39) is far more stoic, supportive and understanding than the impression you would get just from reading this and other forums.

In comparison with the Lowe era?!!
-
From a similar time scale I give you the skates....ugliest and least class of any league, anywhere....in the sh1ttiest ground too.. I also agree that we were as good as them for the majority of the game - what's to argue with? We do have to cut out the individual errors though - I throw that latter comment in as competition for Trousers in the 'stating the bleeding obvious' stakes!

In - how quickly we seem to forget the dire effects of chopping and changing managers....or learn from others who do the same....take a look at Sunderland? Puel was brought in to develop the younger players and to continue to expand the quality in the squad in this way. We aren't playing that badly, we are capable of playing the blistering football seen in the first twenty minutes of the Tottenham game so it's not like it's not within the capability. I'm not sure what causes the heads to drop when things are going against us but if the players can (presumably) play as their manager wanted for chunks of the game then they can surely sustain it...we do have a goal scoring problem currently but would some genius on here like to provide the solution...who's available that's better than who we have and at a sensible price who would come in January. We have the basis of a tidy, football-playing squad here...we have a blip in form (which apparently wouldn't happen if we got a new manager?) and there's panic from the usual suspects on here but the last thing we should do is panic in mid-season and sack a guy who is doing ok with the resources he has at his disposal. If we lose the next three (which in this league is infinitely possible) then maybe we should talk about it but the knee jerk strategy is mindless...look at the league table?
-
I don't have many skate acquaintances but one that I do has been called out on exactly this! Of course it was a mistake.......apparently made a great many times :-)!
-
Perhaps they'll offer it in 'shares'.....?
-
I believe (and this based on information copied on to here) that she converted the loan in to shares so it is now not shown as a debt to a director and will be shown as value within the club i.e. as a paid off loan.

Were you there tonight? The atmosphere was far from stale but don't let that spoil your digs.
-
Go elsewhere then!
-
Moronic question by someone who obviously doesn't go to games - he's a good manager, we're building something here. Poster question reminds me of someone who'd prefer a w*nk to a woman for the instant gratification Yes I was there tonight
-
Morgan is class but in a position that we are well covered in- I think he is as good as any of them and possibly better than all but Romeu but it rarely works for a player to return. Hope he goes abroad but very few could afford what he has been paid up there...and therein lies another issue. We should remember his part in our rise with gratitude and move on imho.

How can you take a 'sport' that stops for tea seriously? ;-)
