Both are strong defensively but Chambers control and crossing is not as good as Clyne in my opinion. I think Clyne must have been told to stay back yesterday as he is usually a good attacking outlet down our right side. Chambers will be a fantastic player for us in the future if he stays but he is still learning and has a way to go.

So gutted for him, will still be my player of the season regardless.

He looks quite good though ;-)

I was only talking about this Guy today as I was discussing my trip to Crewe in the Championship when I believe he scored.

Not a fan of Fox as a LB I'm afraid. No arguments he can cross a ball but he just CANNOT defend. Was it a tactical sub or was it his groin? I think probably the latter and unfortunately he will be back sooner rather than later.

I we nt to the evening with night of Friday night, and although we were not told on the night how much money was raised, it did raise a fair stack. I am not going to get into the arguement that has been going on, but I only went because it was MLT, with a freebee of LM thrown in, in my eyes. It was MLT that made me buy the ticket, and any other celeb wouldn't have made me do so! Tony Husband of BBC fame was the host, and I must say, is very good also! I'm not going to "tell" all on here of the things the both MLT & LM spoke about, as it may stop people going to future events, after all its for a good cause. But, I would go to another such event, with the same guest speaker, or with diffrent ones, and I would urge other people to do the same, yes it is rather expensive, £40 per ticket (includes 3 course meal) raffle tickets, and auction, but I'd rather do this once a month than spend the same amount on a evening / night in town getting bladdered!

Some top idea's here, the one about free replica shirt is one that I've often told the powers that be at SMS, but under Lowe never happened. We should as a community club do more to grab the young kids in the area, as "the childern are our future"! so free childers season ticket to anybody who bought an adult one last season would work, but give free SFC tat to the local schools would be good for PR and get the local chavs down to the games too!

There is a fine line that we will be walking next season, and again while ooooTH is correct in saying that we need to get people through the door, BOGF's are just the other side of people parting with cash line, which is sadly what the new owners will need.

Thas a good offer, of which we can't afford at the moment, but could do "if we won promotion" back to fizzy pop div.
