pir, let me explain a few things.. firstly we didnt go out and get a stadium we could not afford... in the prem we managed the payments with ease, and i may be wrong but i dont think we missed payments at any time after , infact it was a mere 40k over our overdraft limit that put us in admin.:smt021 Now the reason we are so bitter, and its not just saints fans ( although i admit we are prob more bitter than most) is that saints and most other clubs in on the verge of admin did every thing they could to avoid it. we loaned out our senior players, and played what was really a youth team all season in order to sort out our finances... on top of this we closed corners of the ground, opened the ground later and did a whole host of other cost cutting measures..... BLOODY HELL OUR MANAGER WAS ON LESS THAN YOU KIT MAN !!.. So how did pompey act when they realised that a 55mil a season wage bill ( higher than arsenal) was not sustainable ? Ok so you sold a few players, but the debts kept building, so you brought in more players on silly wages, then you loaned several more players ( incurring loan fees and more wages).. Other teams in the relegation battle have stated that they could not match the wages you were paying and so they lost out on players to you. Does this sound like a club trying to live within its means? You had a transfer embargo lifted in order to sell players to service debt, with a view to bringing in cheaper replacements!! that didnt happen either, all you did was sign more and more players ( more signing on fees and more wages!!).. I could go on and on but I dont think I need to, your club has done very little to avoid the situation, infact from the outside looking in it seems CRIMINAL how your club has acted. Now I know its not the fans fault, but wake up mate ffs, because its fans like you in denial that give your lot a bad name.

You can't take away their right to have as many children as they like.. How ever he should be forced to work to reduce the level of benefits they get.. It shows how wrong the system is. I have 4 kids and 1 on the way and would be no worse off on benefits, how ever what sort of example would not working set the kids. I work 6 nights a week and encourage my kids to have a strong work ethic. So in short if the fella chooses not to work.. Half his benefits!! Maybe they would struggle with 1 family car and no sky tv.. But the rest of us make do.

Two firefighters die in Southampton blaze...

Sad sad news , thoughts go out to their family makes u realise what a wonderful job they do in very dangerous circumstances. -
I agree should still be called the football echo.
-
Maybe jonny if you had been to a few games over the years you would remember if they were home or away
-
Looking at review of 91/92 season can't beleive how inaccurate it is.. They seem to have home matches down as being away and vice versa. For example Norwich cup quarter final replay was away.. They say home shef united 4-2 defeat was home the have it as away. Just fro memory I can't spot at least 6 errors

my 5 have crashed this year, only arenal have a chance. backed arsenal ,shef u, mk dons, rotherham and oxford.. missed out last year had 3 league winners and a close second... payed a good few hundred but could have been 4k

I'm probably too optomistic.. But even I have excepted it ain't gonna happen this season.. So just enjoy the rest of the season pressure free.. And look forward to a league title and another jp final win next season

LOL HO, now my spelling may not be up to much, i would be the first to admit that.... but I would think you find its your that looks a bit of a knob ( opinion from othesr welcome here )... with all the ****e you post on here... as for belonging in the premier league, i dont think that, football has its ups and downs, we will get back their sometime soon, and we will prob drop again. To be honest i am enjoying this season more than most in recent years we have finaly got our club back. the premier league will be nice when we get there but its not that important I and 20,000 others will support them in any league.... i wonder what your crowds will be like in the next few seasons!!! 6000-8000 i would suggest as you drop down the leagues... So it would seem that for the skates premier league is every thing.... start watching for your city to be full of other teams shirts very very soon..... great fans LOL

Ho, hows the pompey fairwell tour of the premier league going? nice to see you even get to say fairwell to wembley too.... lets hope for amusment purposes your cheating club gets to continue its tour next year... you can say goodbye to all the championship clubs as you slip right past them.... on another note... I find it comforting to think we are at wembley in the PAINT POT TROPHY.... AT THE SAME TIME YOU LOT AINT GOT A POT TO **** IN!! Enjoy yourfair well tour... you might get to take in 4 different divisions in 4 seasons or your corrupt joke of a club might just die sooner!!

Is the tide out ? Not seen any skates on this board for a while !
-
so pompey can sell players and loan them straight back for the rest of the season, surely there is one impact your forgetting... is there not a limit on the number of loans you can have in a match day squad? or are they going to wave this rule for the cheating skates!

Wrong conference national ARE bound by the window system, the leagues below are not

Matchday Entertainment - Your Views??
daveygwyatt replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
maybe they could execute a couple of skates before the game and also at half time!!! or slightly less barbaric put them in stocks and we can chuck fruit at them -
So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?
daveygwyatt replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
it seems all tickets are now posted so fingers crossed all of us that are waiting get them by monday or tuesday. My gripe with the ticket office is that they should communicate better, surely they owe the fans and the ticket office employees who it seems are getting abuse because of delays... The club Knew they had over 44000 tickets to sell and distribute, so as a result their planning should have known what staff they need to acheive the task... it seems they messed up some what, and so lessons need to be learnt, and maybe one or two people who are involved in the planning side are not up to the task.. im sure it will all work out well, but come on saints we are fans but we are also your customers !!!! so talk to us... even if its an announcement on the web page. -
think you would be fine, but is it worth risking it... why risk ruining a day out at wembley
