  1. Thanks guys. Will try and keep it updated.
  2. Cheers mate, thanks for reading.
  3. Here's my effort, just something I do when I'm bored. http://northamsoul.wordpress.com/ Have a read if you like.
  4. Unlucky mate, I passed in June at the third time of asking. It's so annoying when you fail on something like that. You'll get there though, and getting your driving license is quality, well worth the ridiculous cost of learning.
  5. On Powerpoint, click on the A (WordArt) on the toolbar near the clipart symbol. Choose which one you want, type your stuff, when it appears on the page, rightclick and select 'Format WordArt', then under the 'Fill' section there's the colour box, click that, then click 'Fill Effects'. Along the top of the box there should be 'Picture', click that, then 'select picture', and you can browse your computer for the picture/pattern you want. Or just use Pancake's effort. HTH.
  6. Are you using powerpoint for the presentation by any chance?
  7. Photos from OS prove this: He was held back all the way, then bundled into the net.
  8. Loved Fallout 3, love NV even more. Quality game.
  9. Execution, in principle, is spot on, but what if they are innocent all along? When I was at college a man came in to do a talk, he is called Nick Yarris, and in the 80's he was accused of rape and murder, and sentenced to death. He asked for further DNA tests to be done in 1989 but they proved inconclusive, but in 2003 further tests were done on a pair of gloves that were found in the victim's car and it proved his innocence. DNA from the gloves, and the sperm evidence appeared to originate from the same person. Not him. This proved his innocence. He spent 21 years in prison facing death for a crime he didn't commit. What if he had been executed and then they had found he was innocent after? There would have been an outcry. He was originally convicted to death as his guilt was "pretty much proven beyond all reasonable doubt", as S_S says. Turns out he was innocent all along though. Oh, and life should mean life.
  10. I live in quite a posh town where a lot of very posh people live. However, you also get a lot of people putting on the whole posh thing, and I think dune comes across as one of these people. Snobbery at it's worst.
  11. Hearing aids of the time: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23909185@N06/5108888518/
  12. Also, Japan to USA, point 27.
  13. You can't say you are planning something a little... odd... and then not tell us what it is?!
  14. Don't forget the religious 'ox'tremist.
  15. Colonel Saunders.
  16. I'm in favour of Registered Users being able to start threads (perhaps, again, there could be a limit on how many they could start per day, just like the number of posts they are allowed). I get annoyed when I'm reading a thread and a RU pops up with "Can't start a thread but" - and then goes off on something completely random and off topic....
  17. Agree with this, a mate had his MOT done there and it passed, about 4 days later realised his brake pads were worn right down. A mate and I had to change it for him. I definitely agree with your first paragraph, that's exactly what my Dad said to me, and he has taught me a few basic, but handy things, such as changing brake pads etc. which will probably save me a few quid as I won't be clueless and take it to a garage straight away when something is up.
  18. It's 3 little piglets, apparently.
  19. Agustin Delgado anyone?
  20. Where did the whole pony fiddling thing come from? Is it just a crap comeback to the well known FACT that Portsmouth fans like their fish just a bit too much?
  21. What sort of music is it that you play?
  22. I've still got five years to go but I don't want to feel left out. Been attacked by riot police on a lads holiday. Scored two goals at St. Mary's. Had sex on a beach. Seen a bit of the world, but not enough of it. Went to Hartlepool away on a Tuesday night. As you can see, I haven't achieved a lot in my life. Next stop: Marriage, house ownership, and divorce!
  23. There is so much I have to do in the next 5 and a bit years..
  24. On twitter: Our U21s are in action today Vs a Fulham side set to include Andy Johnson. Regular updates from the game on http://www.saintsfc.co.uk #saintsfc
