Season tickets - What it the actual law stopping us selling these?
RedAndWhite91 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Sod the Insolvency Act! I want my season ticket!! -
Did we not already know there was two bids? From such sources like the Echo and South "It'll all happen tomorrow" Today. Wotte has done nothing wrong in saying this, all he has done is confirmed it further, which is more than encouraging in my opinion.

Dave Jones I think is the first manager I remember as a Saints fan (I was 5-6 when he got the job) and I do remember feeling sorry for him when he left, after my dad explained Rupert Lowe had not treated him very well - - I quite liked him at the time I seem to remember, I'd definitely have him back as manager!!

Schneiderlin - Saints Biggest Waste of Cash Ever?
RedAndWhite91 replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I voted Schneiderlin because he is young and could improve, but only at the start of the season did he show a bit of potential, then he seemed to trail off and, well, be rubbish. I reckon Wotton could do a job for us in League One, but I haven't been overly impressed by him this season, except towards the end of the Burnley game where he did give it his all. Still, it could be worse, Schneiderlin isn't exactly Ali Dia is he, thank God we didn't spend £1.2m on Ali Dia... -
For those who won't be getting a season ticket next year

Same with me, and I look forward to it. -
A saints fan and southampton boy in the play offs
RedAndWhite91 replied to Baj's topic in The Saints
I would like to see Burnley go up as well, not sure why. I reckon it will be Reading though. -
Must say I feel sorry for them, we know what it's like facing up to being 10 points behind, shame for (although I hate to say it) 'lower league football' clubs. Many clubs below the Premiership must face a real battle to survive and it is a very harsh system, the football league.

I heard Rupert Lowe has friends.

I didn't get a season ticket this season due to lack of funds, but now I actually have a job I am really up for getting one for next season (League One). Might be a silly question but can anyone let me know when they go on sale? Can't find any information on the official website? And how much do you reckon they will be, approximately.

Redemption Song is one of the best books I've ever read, and Lydon's is well good too. Makes me long to have lived in the late 70's! I am currently reading the Damned Utd, although I feel I am dishonouring Brian Clough as his family hate it and it is more fiction than fact... Still a good read though... Oh well!

I have a feeling we will have the last laugh yet. Just you wait.

Top shout, AGREED!
-
I'd go with 1-1.
-
I look forward to it, new grounds, new teams, new pubs (especially now I am 18!), and hopefully, a fresh start. Let's just hope we can forget this season and start to focus on 'bouncebackability'

It's a good point, although I'm surprised Lowe didn't consider using it as a hockey pitch.

Barclays and Aviva: Something we can all agree with Rupert Lowe on
RedAndWhite91 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Although the banks are partly to blame, you can't ignore the mismanagement of SLH and Lowe's apparent poor running of the club. And as far as Lowe's track record goes, he has a knack of pinning the blame on someone else, so I wouldn't be surprised, even if he did have a good point of two, if this is just another one of his attempted scapegoats imo. -
Hahahahahahahaha, he has a long way to go yet...
-
Kiss Me Deadly by Generation X - quality song imo.

I think it is hard for a bloke to come in mid-way through a disastrous season and immediately turn things around. I'd be happy to see him here next season after a chance to work with the team pre-season. If not... I perhaps wouldn't rule out Jim Magilton coming here? Over 150 appearances for us in the past... A Championship manager wouldn't go a miss in League One.

Another thread has been started - by Ian the Red called 'Interesting Comments from Burnley Fans' - Worth having a read regarding the skates causing trouble. Sounds like Burnley fans did us proud by knocking a skate's teeth out for throwing a smoke bomb and then getting him kicked out.

On a Burnley forum I had a cheeky look at, one Burnley fan said there was around 20 skates in there...
