  1. Ah yes I didn't think to look at Charlton and Norwich, still, we'll have one of the highest in the league, I hope. Nice one The Saturday Boy for finding the actual attendance figures.
  2. Yeah I'll agree with that, I'm looking forward to thrashing this lot the most.
  3. The average attendances last season according to SSN surprised me a little. Saints' average attendance was just above the 17,000 mark. It then went to the League One attendances, and I think the highest average attendance was Leeds with around 24,000. It rapidly dropped going down the clubs, and the majority of average attendances in L1 were about 6,000 to 3,000 people, such a noticeable drop the Championship. Away games are going to be a different experience next year. If we could get around 25,000 people every Saturday at home we'd have the best support in the league, the best stadium in the league, and in a couple of seasons, the best team in the league.
  4. If SFC was a country this would be the most patriotic thread I have ever seen, and I love it. Great post, excitement is setting in now, bring it on!
  5. I didn't realise the demo took so long to download... 17% and 146 minutes left. Nightmare.
  6. UKIP in EU, Lib Dem in local. Good to see Labour getting shown up, ha.
  7. He is dyslexic isn't he? I think it is this, correct me if I am wrong. There is another thread about it. http://www.fansonline.net/southampto...cle.php?id=691
  8. Nearly nearly bought it the other day thinking it looked alright on the box, thought I'd wait until I read some reviews and the price perhaps came down. But reading your praise of it I'll probably bite the bullet and just get it. After my exams of course.
  9. I didn't think anybody watched Richard & Judy anymore? Brian Blessed is quality, as is Jack Dee. For me, Boris Johnson as a full-time host would be... interesting (but equally brilliant)
  10. As much as the potential new owner (worth hundreds of millions according to Lynam) can afford to spend!
  11. Early prediction: Saints 4-1 Ajax.
  12. Exeter away in League Cup - "Sternnn Johhnnnn, Sternnnn Johnnnn, who needs Ronaldo when you've got Stern John" I liked that at the time.
  13. Best news I heard all day.
  14. I am looking forward to every game.
  15. Keep the badge the same and have a traditional, simple, red and white striped kit. Lovely.
  16. It's just the same as every other Football League club's websites now. The word 'sheep' springs to mind.
  17. He told us to take it back to the car, which is an absolute mission back to Marks and Spencers when it was about 10 minutes to the start. I asked if there was anywhere I could put it, he said the bin.
  18. Then the 3 other interested groups may get a chance.
  19. I've never had one but I'll definitely be getting one this season coming, and I absolutely cannot wait. If the deal goes through then we know that the 'client' is worth several hundred million, I don't think closing the corners as a cost-cutting measure should be necessary.
  20. It was in a bag, in another bag underneath a newspaper! Matey did a right thorough search, looked in my camera case and everything. That's well annoying that you only done that last month, and he told us they had been strictly enforcing it since the start of the season.
  21. I went to the Hampshire 20/20 today and bought four cans of Smiths for £3.70 at Tesco, nice day, thought I'd have some beer. Got to the ground and the bloke told me I couldn't take it in and took the beer away to throw in the bin, telling us that we couldn't have/take alcohol in the ground and it was ECB rules and whatever. Got in the Rose Bowl, and ended up having to pay £3.50 for a pint of not-so-extra-cold lager. Sod the ECB rules, the only reason you can't take your own booze in to the ground like you could last season is so they can grab more money off you. After a £20 ticket and £3.50 pint it seems to me cricket is becoming just a money-making machine, much like football. It's a right shame.
  22. Let's give 'em hell next season then.
  23. That's funny, I didn't think Saints fans wore Chelsea shirts... (One of them is a Chelsea fan at least, I'm sure of it!)
  24. I went today, it was a good game, Hants batted superbly.
  25. Really nice bloke, he watched a couple of my football matches for Alresford when he was at the park with his kids. Legend.
