Thanks mate, this doesn't look all too promising does it. So basically, the Football League have buggered up our takeover, and now Pinnacle are out? It looked pretty depressing before I went out, when I knew what was going on, I didn't think it could get worse, however, I think it has..

Blimey, I go to football, and a few hours later I come back to 3 new pages on this thread! Can somebody please sum up what was happened since around 8pm please, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks Tony for the update, the communication with the fans is really top stuff. Keep up the good work, and good luck.

I thought I was the only one!

If all goes through without a hitch before the end of the day then yes, we should find out who the buyer is, either today, or tomorrow.

Television.

I make that 14:32. Any news?
-
SSN latest: STILL talk of Keegan becoming manager, seems to be no new news regarding any problems in the takeover.
-
Mine finished yesterday, now I can devote all of my time to Saints
-
Oh yeah, didn't see that one haha, good work Tactics
-
Tac-tics has been watching Sky Sports News There was a bloke live outside the stadium talking about it. There is still talk of Keegan becoming manager according to SSN as well.
-
It's on again on SSN, LIVE AT ST. MARY'S. Still talk of Keegan returning to management, and Le Tissier as chairman. They have said they are looking at 4pm/5pm until everything has been signed and only then can the deal be concluded. "I have heard from inside St. Mary's that it is the Football League that is slowing down the deal"
-
Corrrr wish I was alive back then when we signed him, by the sounds of it it was amazing!! Even Le Tissier was at Saints before I was born, I dunno who the best signing of my lifetime is, but by the sounds of it, nothing could match Keegan in 1980.

Cheap season tickets sounds good to me!

That all sounds reasonable, and very exciting!

I also heard that there would be an announcement tomorrow, and SSN have said that Pinnacle expect to complete the deal tomorrow, so we'll see...
-
Well they just said on SSN on the little summary thing after the break that "Kevin Keegan has been in talks with the Southampton takeover consortium Pinnacle, who hope to seal the (takeover) deal tomorrow" (Along those lines anyway). So it seems talks are going fine, and hopefully tomorrow we will learn we have been saved. Time for the crossing of fingers eh.

Just had to do a 2 and a half hour exam, cut off from the news, I take it there has been no interesting revelations then?
-
Some of these emails sent in by fans of other clubs are fantastic - Brentford fans saying how great it'd be for the Saints (And League One), a Newcastle fan saying that if Keegan became our manager he'd support us, and he is jealous we are in talks with him. He also said we'd get promoted no problem with him and MLT, who is a "legend".
-
It's on again.
-
Either way, I'd have him at the club in any role, even groundsman, or steward! Just to have him here will be a boost. Let's hope it all goes through.
-
Also, a Sunderland fan emailed in saying that Keegan would be a good move for Saints, and hopefully he'd get us back to the big-time, which we deserve. Nice to see we have support of other club's fans. Back on topic though, even if SSN did get it from the Echo, the Echo said that "Keegan MAY be in talks", whereas SSN said "Keegan IS in talks". So they must have information elsewhere.

That's basically what Nick Illingsworth said. It's still going at the bottom of the screen, and they will most probably be repeating the Illingsworth interview throughout the day... It's all happening!

My thoughts exactly.
