  1. Well said. Pre-season I made a little prediction that we'd finish 11th. The fact we're 2nd in the league in Feburary is brilliant. We've had injuries and suspensions recently and we were always gonna have a dip in form and here it is, but you have to stay realistic. People on the Saints facebook page calling for Adkins' head, it's moronic. 22nd in League One when he took over.
  2. "Pelted with items". Come off it... I saw one of those novelty mini bottles of JD land near him and that was it. A 'bottle of whiskey' would imply a big glass bottle...
  3. 9-10 miles down country roads, bit sketchy at times, but I've only written off one car in six months since I started this job.
  4. I overheard a student type saying that this was his first ever away game...
  5. Can I sit next to you please.
  6. Trending in the UK on twitter. We are a massive club. Great news.
  7. Clarkson is a character, whilst I think he is very good I know others disagree but you can't take what he says seriously! I don't agree with what a lot of Trade Unions say but I'm not going to take legal advice against them! Storm in a teacup.
  8. Everyone has said what I think. Hull were decent at times. Guly was awful. Game of two halves. Hard fought victory. 3 points. Happy days.
  9. Can't believe some of the comments on there. Why would I make this up!! Anyone on here that knows me know I wouldn't make anything like this up, I don't need the attention or the hassle of it. Only posted here so people knew what went on and wouldn't speculate. EDIT: Just seen this, hope it helps show I'm not a liar! http://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/LocalPages/NewsDetails.aspx?nsid=24728&t=4&lid=0
  10. F*ck sake! 1. I do know the road it happened, having had a quick look on google images. Wasn't hard to find since it was only down the road from the station. 2. I don't know the pub name as I didn't really take notice of it after being swung at and kicked. 3. We were taken in a police van to a+e, I have the name of the hospital on a 'head injury advice' leaflet that's at home. 4. I don't know why we were followed for that long, ask them... I don't know why we were followed at all. 5. The 'We are Bristol City' wasn't a chant, it was more of a statement. 6. On their forum someone saw about 15 lads running through town so someone saw them. Happened on a main road so there would be people that drove past. 7. We have two seperate crime reference numbers, police names and numbers and have also had a phone call asking if we want to press charges. Police took all details. 8. I think my mate's fractured cheek bone, his 'glued' up ear and swollen face could show that I'm not a bitter cock who made all this up. 9. Bristol City were better than us, I'm not bitter about that!
  11. This species of ours fought over territory long before the concept of countries was even thought of mate.
  12. Careful now, let's not get too carried away with rumours. Remember P*mpey fans getting all excited over this? Obviously not gonna happen... And on a hilarious side-note unrelated to this thread, a few quotes from the article I got that picture from: Chief executive Peter Storrie said: “This will be the most spectacular stadium in the country. "The fact it is set against the backdrop of the harbour and the English Channel befits the club’s history. “Portsmouth FC is moving to a new dawn with the backing of Alexandre Gaydamak. "This shows where Pompey want to be — playing at the highest level and in a stadium befitting a Premiership side.” Boss Harry Redknapp said: “These are exciting times to be a Pompey fan. "We are having our best season for 50 years and the club is moving in the right direction on all fronts. The future looks great.” Heheheh.
  13. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! I don't know the name of the pub we walked past, I know where we were confronted though - as I said we were lost and Brizzle is a big place... Wouldn't be able to identify any either.
  14. I'd like to see the lads that done this get their comeuppance... Seeing 5/6/7 lads pile into your mate with fists and trainers flying in at all angles isn't a nice sight so I'd like to see karma bite them on their arse... I know two wrongs don't make a right but still.
  15. ******s indeed!
  16. As I said, wrong place at the wrong time! Thanks. I don't think he'll be put off! It happens doesn't it. Thanks everyone for asking after us. Just seen this posted on a Bristol City forum as well and it's good to see a lot of their fans agreeing that what the lads done was cowardly and nothing but bullying!
  17. Hope there is a minute's silence at Tuesday's game, sure there will be.
  18. Yeah that's right, you lot drink in Bedfords. We weren't too far from the station when we got attacked, we walked up the road a bit after it happened and could see it.
  19. I don't know what it was called. Was on a main road, that's all I know. As I said we were pretty lost.
  20. This is terrible - RIP.
  21. Why doesn't that article surprise me! I know some Saints fans that, a few years ago, had a similar situation to us. About 5 of them got split up and a bit lost, they were then followed and started on by about 20 Bristol. Pathetic they only pick on smaller groups when they got a massive numerical advantage.
  22. Cheers yeah I got off surprisingly lightly, we were both quite lucky to be fair. Definitely not gonna put me off going.
  23. Haven't posted for months but thought I'd come and set the record straight before you get people making assumptions and thinking that we perhaps deserved it, gave it the large one and got a slap, because it was not like that at all. It was completely unprovoked and ridiculous. Basically we walked past a pub and some lads stormed out asking where we were from, then one asked for my phone, I said we were from nowhere and that I didn't have a phone, he swung for me and I ducked it, then he kicked me, we walked off after that thinking that was that. About 15 minutes later, still lost looking for Bristol Temple Meads we realise we're being followed by a group of them, 10-15 I'd say, and there was 3 of us. They get closer starting to shout 'Oi!' but we ignore it and carry on walking. When they got really close, one mate legged it, I turned to see about 5 or 6 of them just laying into my mate... I couldn't leave him so I went over to try and get some off him (he had his face kicked after being dragged to the ground) but then I had 4 or 5 on me just throwing punches and trying to grab me... Don't know how long this went on for but we took a beating, being so outnumbered it was difficult to even defend ourselves. Afterwards they were shouting "WE ARE BRISTOL CITY" and such, think they were quite proud a large group just beat up 2 people who made it clear they didn't want it. Spent ages with the police and then in a+e where yes, my mate suffered a fractured cheek bone. I seem to have got off lightly with only a few sore spots on my head and that but it could have been a lot worse. It was f*cking stupid. Some Saints fans walked past the police van and insinuated that we must have said something to make it kick off, but I think it'd have been incredibly stupid for 3 of us to say something to a pub full of lads. Wrong place, wrong time.

    Riots

Residents of Southampton smashing up Southampton? This takes stupidity to a whole new level. These people are scum and should be put down.
