  1. Well we have suites named after Terry Paine, Mick Channon, Bobby Stokes and Matt Le Tissier. I think naming the gates after legends is a much better idea.
  2. Yeah agree with this. We have hospitality suites named after players which is good, and enough. I think we should just leave it as it is.
  3. Ahhh optimism
  4. Wins in bold.
  5. Maybe there will be an "updated version" released in a year or two.
  6. We aren't moaning, we are expressing an opinion. There is a difference. You even put "write back to what you think about this" and that is what people have done!
  7. One man does not make a team. If you gave Lambert preferential and special treatment the others are going to start to get a bit miffed and this is no good for morale.
  8. Well, what are your thoughts now?
  9. I think Kelvin Davies deserved a clap, and I did clap him when he came over. If it wasn't for him and a few good saves it would've been about 4-0. He kept us in it, and continues to week in, week out. It's about time those 10 players in front of him sorted themselves out though.
  10. Nope that wasn't me. Pretty sure that was a bit further up the 'bank'. (Can't really call it a stand can you)
  11. I hate it when you start singing and then no-one around you joins in. I was down the front and trying to join in with those behind me singing in the Stratton Bank, but when no-one else does you feel isolated and on your own - and it isn't a good feeling!
  12. And where was the width? On the floor to the wide players would have worked last night, but unfortunately, this just was not done. Down the middle almost every time.
  13. What time is it all happening? Hope I can get down there, I am going on holiday tomorrow night so wouldn't mind having this book as my holiday read!
  14. Think you'll find there were singers behind the goal. However, people behind the goal mostly tried to join in with the Arkell's lot, but couldn't keep time with them, it was difficult keeping a song going, and everyone knows how **** it is when two separate songs are being sung at the same time.
  15. What a load of absolute ********. Those so-called nobs were fans of Southampton who made the journey on a Tuesday night to watch their team. What is the point of judging fans of your own club on somewhere they sit as well. 'Filled mostly by n*bs' is the most stupid thing I have heard in a while. My view is that we are all Saints fans, some of us sing, some of us don't, get over it. What is the point of coming on here and having a go at people who support the same club, we are all fans of Southampton.
  16. 100% spot on.
  17. In my opinion the manager of the club HAS to be in charge of football matters with the DoF subservient... How many times have we seen a DoF disrupt things at other clubs. Dennis Wise at Newcastle caused obvious problems. And let's not forget Clive Woodward.
  18. Witty, and true.
  19. Haha same here, what a relief when I found out it was a 26 year old captain of a rival league one club!
  20. Haha I was in there from about 6:45 to 7:25-ish, and I heard all that 'fighting talk' too... I swear I heard one of them say in a menacing tone "It's a good job they don't let away fans come in here"...... I thought it was quite cool having a drink in their 'manor' as my dad put it, sitting there in amongst all their 'hardcore' who wanted to fight us Saints fans.
  21. We had about 2 corners in that extra time, and we forced the keeper to make a save for only about the second time in the match if my memory serves me correctly.
  22. Defending corners he would not mark anyone. A Swindon player ran from the mixer to go for the short corner and Wotton did not pick him up, leaving somebody else to do it whilst he just stood there. Attacking corners I noticed he made a run into the box, but from the direction of the corner, ultimately having his back to the ball. He would be more useful darting in towards the direction the ball is getting played so he can use his so called physicality to make a real presence in the box.
  23. The ref was a ****ing joke.
  24. Swindon's centre back partnership were solid, physical, and bloody massive between them. We couldn't get hardly anything past them and they certainly stopped Lambert from working his goal scoring magic.
  25. I agree but now Pardew should really focus on the defence. That midfield, with confidence and understanding, could potentially be one of the best midfields in the league. (Yesterday I thought we lacked confidence, nobody wanted to do anything with the ball except the short pass or hoof, no creativity). Our defence should now be the main priority and confidence of the squad needs working on. Was not nice seeing two of your own players having an argument half way through the second half either.
