Fair point, IMHO we should be trying to win every game. And I guess in our predicament (minus 10) it matters a bit more. Fair play.
-
Ahhh that makes more sense. Yeah, Harding keeps on impressing. I'll agree with this.

My Dad used to go up Upton Park in the 80's as a teenager, and he was telling me about all the fights he saw inside and outside the ground, one of them he once saw a massive fight outside the ground between West Ham and Tottenham and they all had razors and poles and bits of wood, and all sorts of other weapons. You don't see that nowadays on that scale.

Maybe he is predicting the Charlton game?

Jaidi's was going to take 7-10 days as of last week I think...

And my subs: Bart Perry Holmes Paterson James Lallana Lancashire

"Must win" is a bit dramatic as we still have 40 games to play But my starting 11 would be as follows: ---------------Davis--------------- Thomas----Jaidi----Trotman----Harding Papa----Hammond--Schneiderlin----Mills -----------Lambert--Saga--------------

I want to meet Papa Waigo with the sole intention of getting some free grub and new football boots.

Sounds good, I'll try and persuade my mates to go there, cheers.

Where is the Hole in the Wall? How far from the ground etc... Thanks

Gutted. To. F*ck. -
I remember I was getting ready for my first training session with my new football team round some lad's house, and his little brother came in and said "A plane has crashed into the world train centre"... Didn't hit home until I actually saw the news, it was horrible.
-
Well that is sorted then, I'll see you all there!!
-
Hm yeah it's a good point, either towards the back or clumped to one side... The one side thing was done at Sheffield Wednesday if I remember correctly, but it wasn't too effective as there was more 'sitters' than 'standers'. Either way, I just hope the majority of people going up there will be standing, then it won't be too difficult. I reckon it would be fairly obvious who wants to stand and sing, so all those should just clump together... Again, easier said than done?
-
Haha they are all mouth no trousers then? I just hope we take a vocal lot up there to make more noise than them, again. A repeat of the noise we made at Watford wouldn't go a miss... I am really looking forward to this game now. Well if they are anything like Watford, we will definately outsing them, cos Watford had terrible home support.
-
I had a mcmuffin thingy earlier. Wasn't very impressed.
-
Yes I do agree in part with that, and of course when a lot of people feel the same and decide to not sing, it almost has a domino effect. I think it was the quietest I have heard the Northam in a long time - But can't blame anyone when there is just a typical 0-0 being played out there.
-
Oooh I only thought of one side of this... It's a good point, but hopefully as our defence is a lot more solid now, we will not concede in the first half and then bang in about 3 or 4 goals in front of the Northam
-
The first half on Saturday was loud (kicking towards the Northam) whereas the second half was quiet (towards the Chapel). It is important we back the team for 90, and so kicking towards the Northam in the second half would be both wise and beneficial. A good point well made nickh.

A girl beat me at pool so I challenged her to another game and won, and then won the next 5 games. A few weeks later she beat me at crazy golf. So I challenged her to pitch and putt and I beat her, HAH. The moral of the story is, keep trying; cos eventually you will get a win and you will feel great that you have beaten a girl at something...
-
I saw on a Charlton forum that they want to make it the most "intimidating atmosphere Southampton have ever played in" - So it should be good, as long as we can give some back.

No.

Life supply of meds. 100 beautiful women. A fridge full of an unlimited amount of cold beers. Sorted.

In theory it should be easy, but in practice we will probably f*ck it up, with pockets of fans standing and singing in different places. When someone pipes up, they will get disgruntled looks by those who like to sit in silence for 90 minutes (Not having a dig, but this does happen)... And then because there will be separated pockets of fans, there won't be any songs going. I might start a new thread, calling for a decent effort by those who want to sing to group together.....
