  1. Haha typical, and I thought there was some massive row going on behind me!! It's alright cos I saw him hanging around after the game with his casual crew, probably waiting for the stewards...
  2. One of his corners today just hit the first man and went off for a throw-in. He didn't look happy. I reckon Harding should take them on the left, Hammond is a big lad, need him in and around the box. Morgan to take on the right?
  3. Walmer castle rings a bell, but can't remember the question, sorry. You would have surely got it right though!! I read it all, it's cool that you have such enthusiasm for the place I reckon. It's not sad either! I am from Netley Abbey, and for some reason I am well proud of where I am from, and I love it down there (I moved away when I was 10, probably the reason I love it so much is cos I miss it) and, like you, could easily talk about it all day long. I get down there as much as I can. I'll be sure to visit that pub if I ever find myself in Deal No worries Man of Kent, I always remember little things like that for some reason "It's always good to remember where you come from and celebrate it. To remember where you come from is part of where you're going."
  4. Definitely witnessing vast improvements now, working like a unit and a team, more so in the first half than the second today though. First half you would have thought we were top and Charlton were bottom. Good result though i'll take 1-1, pretty accurate ratings although I'd drop Lambert to a 7 and raise Perry to a 7. Plus Waigo looked good when he came on albeit for a few minutes, did some cracking tackles and chased the ball like he really wanted it.
  5. Post of the day!!
  6. The referee was sh!t I thought, as usual, but this could just be Southampton bias.
  7. War on the terraces it was most certainly not. I was hoping there would be some post-match banter but got on that first packed out train so didn't get to see any, shame. Can't beat laughing at 14 year olds giving it the large one
  8. Two Charlton blokes came up to me and my mate and asked us whether we were 'boys or men' and if we had been drinking and stuff like that. The Charlton 'man' (not boy) basically wanted to fight us and then buggered off when he realised we aren't idiots. Also, there was a fight on about 60 minutes, I dunno what happened but a steward ran down to the bit in the middle of the stand, and shouted "fight", all the coppers and stewards ran off towards the back of the ground, and I saw a young-ish lad being escorted out of the ground. So yeah, no real trouble
  9. First half we were dominant, most of the game played in their half and then capitalised on the increasing pressure with the goal. Second half we lacked the edge, but I don't know why this is. We should have carried on and got a couple more, the chances were created but not taken. A bit lucky considering Charlton had 2 goals disallowed. I'll take a point away at Charlton any day, was a well good day out and hopefully we will build on this and thrash Yeovil. I must say I was impressed with Waigo and his 3 minute stint, he got well stuck in, looked lively. Jaidi looked solid as well, happy with his input. In my opinion it would have been better off putting Waigo on on about 70 minutes, so he made an impact. I guess all that I have said has been said a hundred times on this thread already, but oh well.
  10. I can't remember the question, it was about a castle or something, and I think Jillyanne was referring to one of the contestants, not the town of Deal...
  11. On what date did Ian Beale make his first appearance on Eastenders?
  12. Baj answered a question correctly!! And it was something to do with the town of Deal; hamster will be pleased.
  13. It is also known that Charlton consider Millwall their rivals, however, Millwall see West Ham as their main rivals. A bit like how Bournemouth see us as major rivals but we don't really give a toss about them.
  14. It's called planned obsolescence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence
  15. I see this has made the 'top stories' on the BBC website today... EDIT: And it is the 4th most read story on the site.
  16. I believe so, yes.
  17. How does that work?!?!
  18. I read Friends Like These by Danny Wallace on holiday, couldn't put it down. Proper funny and a good story too, based on a true story. 10/10.
  19. Chicken Supernoodles.
  20. For the people on strike it is deemed necessary and you can understand their point of view, but for those not involved it is just a nuisance and an inconvenience. An example of this is fans worrying about not getting their Charlton tickets in time 'cos of a postal strike, which seems to be the case for a few people on this forum. In my opinion trade unions are a good idea but strikes cause too much disruption. Obviously. On a side-note, Saints players should learn to strike (the ball properly).
  21. Yeah I guess, but you won't feel alone when you get there. I got a season ticket with a mate who seems to like pulling out of doing things at the last minute, but I would definitely still go to games on my own if this was the case, cos once you're there, you're with thousands of other Saints fans! You will regret it and you never know, we could beat Charlton 6-0, so you should probably go just in case. The more people getting behind the lads the better!
  22. To be fair the form book says: P 6 D 4 L 2 so you are probably right.
  23. Another lame, sweeping generalisation, well done.
  24. £3!!! My train ticket will be more expensive than the ticket for the match! Thanks hamster.
