  1. Good news on the ticket front, should be a good atmosphere.
  2. Mills' corners were better than James' who hardly beat the first man. Mostly, the corners went straight into the hands of the keeper or were easily headed out by the defenders who packed the box. It's definitely something that needs to be worked on because with 16 corners you can potentially (although it sounds silly) score 16 goals! That's never going to happen but with the right taker, movement and organisation corners are massively dangerous. They are even more dangerous considering we have Jaidi and Trotman who are big tall blokes, Lambert who can head a ball and other players who can pile in. It's just the deliveries are awful and nothing comes out of it. Currently our list of potential corner takers are Lallana, Mills, James, Schneiderlin, Holmes. I don't know how good Holmes' set pieces are, but Lallana and James seem to have trouble with corners and I don't know whether Schneiderlin takes any? It was his free kick that set up the goal. Mills seems the best options for corners on one side, but what about the other? Something needs to be done here.
  3. I reckon it's going to be a really difficult game for us and I honestly can't see us getting 3 points. Mind you, we always do seem to step up and play better against the better teams in the league and Rovers are just that. I'd like to see Waigo and Holmes both start, and hopefully there will be a big crowd there to get behind the team. No negativity please, it doesn't help the team in any way.
  4. That's even more amateurish than the Daily Echo!!
  5. His dad probably never shouted "DON'T LUNGE IN!" at him when he was a nipper.
  6. Terry Tibbs sound board. I think it's called iTibbs. Me and my mate put it on a iPod dock and called people and it was pretty funny. We also need lives.
  7. It's all down to his level of fitness. It's known he wasn't match fit when he got here and that is why he has been in the reserves and coming on in the latter parts of second halves. His match time in the first time seems to be increasing, from 2 minutes, to 25 minutes, to about half an hour, so I imagine he is getting there, and it will be good when he can start as he looks dangerous. It was said he got injured in the reserves, and then he came on at Carlisle and looked fine, dunno what that was all about.
  8. Nice little fact: With 3 goals, Pompey have the worst attack in English football.
  9. Git hahaha
  10. He is 6 foot 2 so it should be changed really, but the one we all currently sing fits well and is already known by people... Next time it is sung I will sing "He stands at nearly 6 foot 3" just for good measure.
  11. Jim McCalliog?
  12. I would have been but I went down to the concourse area, typical. Oh well I have my appearance but I'm not gonna say which one
  13. Oh yes and forgot to add, very impressed by our support, didn't expect it to be a vocal one, but it was, a top turn out. Just looked on the Carlisle forum and they said they were impressed by our support (and P*rtsmouth's but we don't really care about that).
  14. I liked watching the last few minutes in the Rugby club up in Carlisle before our match. Singing songs praising Paul Hart, classic.
  15. Was at the game yesterday and I feel that we are showing inconsistency from game to game. We played excellent against Charlton for example, away from home, and outplayed Yeovil, but then Carlisle matched us and we were lucky in the end to come away with a point. The same old criticisms are corners, and that final ball problem. On a few occasions the corners failed to even beat the first man, and there was a lot of hit-and-hope through balls which went straight to the keeper or a defender. We did create chances which was good but in the end failed to capitalise on the chances or the pressure we showed in the first half. I still think the team has a lot of potential, we just need some momentum to get us going. Getting past that 0 point mark will be a psychological weight off everyone's shoulders so the sooner we do that the better. Lallana played well in my opinion, as did Harding and Jaidi. Trotman was again good but needs to sort his studs out as he slipped up twice and mistakes like that can cost us!! I'll settle for a point, especially as we were looking at a defeat, but we were lucky the keeper fumbled the ball and it fell to one of our biggest players! Bring on Bristol Rovers, but to get anything out of that we really will need to step up a gear.
  16. I am in one
  17. Very subtle... Is that classed as assault? If you did that in the street you'd get arrested!
  18. Tonight at football I was speaking with one of the blue few and he basically said he went to their fans meeting and "matey", whether it was Al-Fahim or Storrie, told him that they would be spending "loads of money". But it was reported that there would not be any money spent. Pompey hierarchy lying to their fans? Not an ideal start... Disaster waiting to happen.
  19. I look forward to each and every one of them, even if it does mean a early start tomorrow. 7 points would be great, Bristol Rovers is going to be a tricky one.
  20. Universal studios was good.
  21. Hahaha Well 19C is wrong cos he keeps going on about Lawrie Mac being the oldest and what-not, but he is only 73, and the OP's mum and dad are 76.
  22. The link doesn't work
  23. Kelvin James Trotman Jaidi Harding Mellis Schneiderlin Hammond Mills Lallana Lambert
  24. Is 19C talking about McMenemy?
  25. Hold on, the estimated population of England is 51,710,301. If there was 8,000,000 Pompey fans, then that would be just under a fifth of the population of England supporting them. I'm not very good at maths but I can see that that is complete b*llocks.
