  1. I work in Tesco and once some random lady had a right old go at me cos we didn't have any frozen roast potatoes in stock. I really felt like telling her to make her own sodding roast potatoes. So in conclusion, no, it seems people have forgotten how to do their own potatoes. And my curry was really nice, started with two slices of that 'better than dominoes and pizza hut' oven pizza, followed by 1 and a half pints which I didn't pay for, followed by a curry and a pint I didn't pay for, then 4 more pints. A good night.
  2. Our away support has been terrific this season, I have only missed Huddersfield, Stockport and today and the games I have been at the atmosphere has been brilliant, our away travellers can be proud of themselves. I listened on the radio today and heard our lot in fine voice.
  3. I honestly think we have the best team in the league, and if not that, then we are certainly in the top 3 at least. With players like KD and Lambert etc at our disposal, and now as you said being able to bring players like Connolly off the bench, we seriously have the best, if not one of the best teams in the league. But come on: The ground won't be singing that, only one stand and a couple of corners will... Must admit it would be brilliant though!
  4. Well as I used to live in Netley but now I live near Winchester I do miss a lot of things already, despite only being 18. Not 'Nostalgia' as such (yet) but I have a lot of memories from Netley and 'town'. I don't reckon I would miss IKEA as I have been there once and the only thing cool about it was the size, I remember West Quay being built (I was 9 when it was completed) so that's cool. I guess I just miss usual stuff of childhood, bike races, building dens etc. And I am not old enough yet to reminisce on my drinking days of early adulthood, but I guess when I can I will have a lot more to say!
  5. I might be able to participate in a thread like this in 30 years time or something... Interesting reading peoples memories and the like though.
  6. I won't dance in a club like this, All the girls are slags, and the beer tastes just like p!ss. Specials - Nite Klub
  7. I think it is a great result which really shows our new found class and potential. At home this season Oldham had played 6, won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1. Last week against Charlton they played well and held them. And we have just gone there and banged in 3. Could've been more by the sounds of it. These past 3 games has been a real signal of intent.
  8. Apparently my mate's mum is buying us curry, can't complain at that. Probably have the tikka massala or a madras. Followed by a few pints of Boddington's. Nice.
  9. McMenemy and Bates were two of the best managers we have ever had... Both unfortunately before my time
  10. Brilliant
  11. First time this season I had to listen on the radio but I was kept updated throughout the game via text and sounded good... Wish I had gone now!! Absolutely delighted with the win and the fact we are off bottom, well done lads and well done Pardew, wonder if those with the opinion he isn't the right man for the job will be out in force tonight... Doubt it, he is doing a great job. Great result, great football day all round what with the skates losing, terrific. With 3 brings 4, home win next week!
  12. Haha yeah that poster was well odd, and yeh it was a nightmare finding it in the rain, cheers for the pint anyhow mate.
  13. Best of luck to him.
  14. I read something which suggested that sports fans are open to high rates of negativity. Which I think may be common with you. Reaching the playoffs, despite ambitious, is still highly realistic.
  15. I am convinced that Schneiderlin is the sort of player that we need, he has definitlely become a bit of an unsung hero in our midfield, whilst his play is not all-out 'look at me' stylee, he does the job, spreads the ball well, and overall has had a great past few weeks. I am also convinced he will go from strength to strength as we climb the table.
  16. Getting there... http://www.footballgroundmap.com/redandwhite91/grounds I've only started my away game journey this season. I've seen Saints at 9 different grounds excluding St. Mary's and the Dell. England u.19's at Dean Court and England u.21's at the old Wembley. Slowly but surely.
  17. I got mine for £22, beat that. Reckon you'll have to go lower than £35 to get a sale Deanovski.
  18. Pretty sure it was also Constatine compiled 'the Bible' out of a number of books written about Jesus. He selected the books out of hundreds written about Jesus and God and what not and compiled them into what we know as the Bible. Or something like that anyway.
  19. Had a bit of a runny nose today but I soldiered on.
  20. Wotton looks like an excited child in that picture.
  21. In the Northam I've had my front page checked a couple of times this season, same turnstile, different people.
  22. They only sometimes check the front bit of the ST don't they, I don't know whether they check just the stand or the age of the holder cos they don't spend much time looking at it. I think you can 'upgrade' your ticket so it all becomes valid for other people but I don't know how this works.
  23. Ah I see Connolly played 80 minutes, that's good.
  24. Mine is a photo I took on my phone just after Lambert banged in his first penalty against Yeovil:
